next time u look at a pic of the console look to the right of the ring of light.
there'll be an outline of a rounded rectangle and that's (at least on the beta kits) where the controller ports are.

Stay on target! I have heard that a wired controller can be supported through the USB ports on the back, although I do not recall any info on xbox controllers being compatible with the Xbox 360. That would be cool, but if M$ is going to make money, I bet they would prefer to make us buy new controllers.
And I have heard that Xbox 360 will be compatible with your PSP and other toys. So, smerf01, you've played with the beta console, huh? So is that you in the bland apartment looking like a brat while playing Halo 2? Don't deny it! Spare me the lies!

Hooking up the cord controllers on the back would be kind of inconviniant (sp?). But at least they decided to include the option.

actually you're pretty close. that kid lives in redmond, and i run into his gangrely a$$ every time i go to buy a new game, or get really cheap eq. at the ms store....he's a total prick.
and i do play a ton of h2, so hook me up with your gt if you have one and we can totally own.
also, yes microsoft might want to make money, but they also want really good pr. they're already going to be making a buttload off of the xbl services and game sales, market-share, blah blah. they won't be in the red for a while.
also, i am pretty sure they'll ship the consoles with wireless controllers. and yes the beta kit blows everything out of the water and basically has rewritten all that i knew about programming.... :smokin:

Agree with PapaSmerf01, like usual. I liked the big controllers, Im a big guy, not fat, but big, I’m 6feet, 6in tall, so I have big hands and the newer smaller controllers get annoying some times, like in H2 when I’m play with PapaSmerf01
wireless is going to so tight!!!!!

I am really exicted about the small wireless controllers, the original Xbox controllers were a little too big for my hands. You know what they say "Small hands means small gloves". I heard that Microsoft will offer a USB corded controller for the Xbox360 and also that there will be no third-party hardware options. With that in mind Microsoft will certainly be able to cash-in on a large variety of hardware accessories.

Wireless will kick ***, I can finally sit in this massive chair in my room, without having to move it closer to the Xbox everytime I want to play (not a fan of extensions leads)

Ok, there WILL be wired controllers.
The current X-Box controllers will NOT work on the 360.
I love wired controllers. I play games too much, and the cost of batteries will kill me.

You can get a rechargeable battery pack for the controller that can recharge the batteries "lightning-fast," but you also have the option of plugging the controller into the system via USB to "trickle charge" the controller while you play.

I have heard that Microsoft will be offering a corded USB controllre along with the trickle charger USB cord. As for battery life I heard that it should average around 40 hours on a set of batteries, thats a lot of playing time. I am just happy that my dogs will not be playing jump rope anymore when I am playing. Thank goodness the current Xbox has break-away controllers.

It seems that Microsoft is certainly trying to address the need for various accessories. I am just happy about the new headset design, now I will be able to lean back on my couch.

the 360 can hold 4 wireless controllers. the little oval at the bottom of the 360 comes off and u can put 2 wired controllers there and 1 in the back of th 360. u can count on 3rd party bussnises to make different size controllers.
