Well it happened again.... the 3 red lights of death on my 360.... called microsoft and they said they couldn't do anything about it for 24-48 hours and to call back due to the system being down??? I turned on the box and everything was working fine then the screen went blank then flashed a black ribbed screen and the 3 came flashing with all their anger=( I'll keep posting updates with my escapade with microsoft and my console...seeing as I already returned one that was on warranty through frys and frys just gave me a new box with no new reciept I might be screwed hopefully not....maybe I'll get the new black box when it comes out.

Same as Remix .... I bought my 360 at launch and had the 3 red circles of doom once, gave it a day (and a couple punches) and it has worked fine ever since.

mine was 2 months out of warante...they want me to pay 160 for somthing that is a defect in the hardware, not the rusult of my poor ownership. I refuse. i am currently sending mean letters to any microsoft complaint address i can find. i am sure in a month i will give up, and have it fixed.....

When I first had the red lights of death my warranty had expired two days prior. Even the guy I spoke with thought that was bunk but still said if I wanted it fixed I'd have to drop nearly $200. I said no thanks I'm driving and a few days later my 360 started working fine.

Hey mate,

I have had similar issues with big companies before regarding Sony/Toshiba TV's. HD, expensive but faulty. I threatened to take a company to court as (in UK at least) the goods were not fit for the purpose of which they were sold. Trade and goods act. I only had one pixel missing from each TV. Might not sound much. But why the hell should i pay for something (for example) that has 10,000 working parts, and one does not work. It is faulty and i won't tolerate it.

These companies make so much money, yet can't make a decent batch of goods. If it was the odd few, then it is understandable.... But there are literally thousands out there that are going wrong, and it is Microsoft's fault. I didn't contribute to my first two 360's being faulty. They didn't build it correctly. Depending on where you are, threaten to sue them. People may laugh, but if you do your research and can prove that it is faulty, then you may have a chance. In the UK, it costs £50 (i think) to start small claims proceedings.

Good luck
