Ok, I am a PC technician this will be fun. :laugh: From what standpoint do you want to base this on? For programs (including games), it's not a good choice. The amount of programs is very limited. Cost wise, well, it looses there as well. Now, what an Apple is great for is DTP (Desktop Publishing), professional printing (like catalogs, news papers, and product boxes ect.), graphic arts, photo editing, and graphical output. Now, PC's are catching up with Apple, but MS won't allow it to pass it up because as long as Apple is around as a profit company, then MS is not a monopoly. Also, the OS is the most stable on earth. Realistically, the Windows OS is the most secure thing on earth, the only reason that other OS's seem to be so good is because they are not the majority of computers in the world. Think about it, if you want to hack something or make a virus for a computer, what are you going to do it for? The most popular OS around. The most popular OS around it the Windows OS series. There for, the Mac OS appears to be more secure because people don't attack it.

Thats why i have an Apple. moive editing and stuff like that. And because of the fact that there isnt 1 virus out there for Apple.

the G5 is an amazing processor. Sure apples arent that great for gaming, thats why i have a XBOX

I have both windows and apple, i use the pc with windows to play games and to surf the web. But if i have to do a project, a poster, or anything that requires a serious system i use apple. Reliable, friendly, and loyal (I think i just described my dog)

same here I have pc for gaming and light web surfing but for projects use my MAC G5 they both good just diffrent tools I use depending on the project one not better over the other just each has things they are better at, so it all equals out in the end to me at least.
