Is there a way to put music on my HDD from a portable device, like my iPod?

I used a portable USB 2.0 drive formatted with FAT32 and plugged it in. It can see all of my music. It has to be USB 2.0 and it has to be FAT32. Not on the Xbox HD, but close enough.

yep tried that before, ended up having to rip from a cd

Just hook up the ipod to it and enjoy.

Was it formatted with FAT32? It will see mine as a portable device. Here is a link on how to do it.
