Check these picstures out. Apparently this guys starting saying in some IRC chat rooms that he had got the Xbox 360 early, and posted these pictures. They do indeed show him playing Halo 2 on a bona fine Xbox 360!

As the story goes, his Dad just got hired at MS, and was able to bring home the machine to test it (the wires coming out the top are for testing). The kid doesn't have any Xbox 360 games, but was testing out the backwards compatibility with Halo 2.

i know that kid, i bump into him every frickin time i go to the ms store. he's a little scrawny sk8boarder. pretty good at halo, but apparently not all that smart...

actually i think that it may be JUST A MARKETING PLOY for the xbox360 casue look at the room. an empty apartment casue M$ bought some apratments for offices for in house testing.

Kinda sad, but look at that kid, he's smurking like a spoiled rich kid who doesn't appreciate anything. I'm not too jealous though, unless he got pre-launch games to play, but at this point, I doubt it.

Do youthink Maximum Virginity will be a big seller? He may connect with a huge gaming audience...

its odd, he's playin one of the first out xbox 360s and he's playin it on a smalllll T.V. sittin on the floor and hes sittin down within notin but walls and carpeting around him.they must of gave away the first to a poor person on purpose so every1 sees how "nice" they are

Hmmmm this is odd. I think the rabbit hole goes way deeper than the dirt. This whole crap started close to when Ourcolony.net will be up and running again (August 4th based on decoded messages found in the last Ourcolony clip on the site.) I think this is a way to stir up excitement the pictures uses classic subliminal/viral marketing schemes. Notice how there is nothing in the room but the white wall. But of course there is the T.V.. Xbox 360 etc. This is obviously so you ONLY pay attention to the 3 most important things which whoever took the pics wants you to pay attention to. That is classic. No this is way to suspicious.

Yeah, and Microsoft confirmed it isnt a fake (many people had doubts).
M$ use clever marketing for the 360, ourcolony was a good way to advertise, as is the "ilovebees.com" ploy for Halo 2.

Also, did anyone hear about when M$ hired a laundrette that was across the road from a PSP store in Paris? They hired it for a day and plastered it with Xbox 360 posters and slogans to draw attention away from the PSP store and the next day, it was all gone...

the wires sticking out the top are for developers/programmers to use for debugging, giving them easy acces to internal components like the motherboard.
Of course the whole thing was done by MS, and it is very smart advertising, but lets just make fun of the kid instead of pat MS on the back. He sure as hell doesn't look rich cuz that is a D.A.R.E. t-shirt (some crap about schools against drugs, i had in elementary.) and old navy pants. ****, you culd say i am richer then this kid cuz right now i got on abercrombie tshirt ($29.99) and and 1 shortz ($32.99) :bath:

Well me for one my moniter is 15 inches and so is my TV/VCR combi and its not as bad as you think (yeah right who am I kidding? It sucks.)

Those pictures are real BTW even Mcrosoft said they were and I can't find no article on Gamepsot saying they are fake

Hmm, I can't find that article anymore either, it found some very specific proof about the pictures that made it fake, how something in the picture of the splash screen emitted incorrect lighting that the TV would do, as in the picture with the TV making light, but no one knows what it is from.

Maybe it was real after all? I can't seem to find the proof again.

Aww damnit enough with that. I play my current Xbox on a TV that's like... I have no idea, 15? Maybe even 20 years old. I don't have the money for an HDTV but I'll try to get one if I ever see a deal for one. Sears is my best bet so far and their HDTV's are at least 1 000$ CDN. And that's for the ****ty models!

HELL nah! I'm quite the dashing stud muffin. That site scared the crap out of me. I thought it was real for the first few seconds. I seriously believed it was until I noticed the Ebay Sucks part and www.wtfman.com in the URL. But damn, those first few seconds were scarey. :afraid: :afraid: :afraid:
