I haven't played the MGS series, except for a little demo for the original PlayStation. I think making Snake old is an odd choice, but I heard everyone hated that Raven person, so old Snake or model Raven?

The TGS video was nice, I like how they started it off in a first person view as the enemy.

That MGS video is basically just a tech-cutscene. The game is going to look nowehre near as good as that...

We don't like senior citizens here at Plaent Xbox 360.

actually that was the in game footage using choreographed action within the game engine per what Hideo said and sorry but he's got a rather impecable decision and he doesn't work for sony so I take his word for it over most anyone especially people being a bit too fanboyish for their own good, not to mention he has earned the respect the industry gives him. When he showed off MGS2 running on the PS2 people said the same thing "no way the PS2 could run that" and well it did so really c'mon and I'm sure the 360 can run it just all the same. They did the same thing in MGS The Twin Snakes on Gamecube for the cut scenes. So when that comes out looking that way you'll have to be sure to eat your words :p the next gen is going to be good all around guys. Both systems will be good so trying to knock it is ridiculous. Hideo's making it and its going to be a great game, sorry but dont see a need for people to knock stuff just because of the system its on, thats completely and utterly childish. As far as him being old its pretty obvious they are wanting to end the story of MGS and so they chose to do it in the future for some reason that wont be known till people play the game. Heck he's probably about the age Sam Fisher is in the Splinter Cell games. So if you say you dont like his age then your saying you dont like Sam Fisher either, *sigh* double standards

The reason why Snake is old is because after they reach middle age, the Les Enfants Terrible (Big Boss' clones) begin to age rapidly. I've forgotten why that is, though. So Snake could really be 40, but he'd be feeling the effects of if he was 60 or 70.

As long as Snake functions the way he should, i've got no problems with it. I just fear that i'll have to give him rations every ten paces!

I can't see this going to the 360. Maybe it will, but after Otacon's "Cell" speech. I really don't think so. To be quite honest though, i'd prefer if it was on the PS3.

well im NOT bashing ps3 i love sony like i said in another post and i can not wait til ps3 comes out im buyin all of the next gen of systems but i just didint understand about snake being old... but anyways heres the deal about sam fisher he started out lookin like that he's not old old but hes in the middle hes got grey in his hair but still a lot of black so... and snake started out young i just dont understand why they would do that but i guess its like you say their wanting to put in end to the story of MGS

yeah, seems to be like WAY in the future so he probably is pushing late 50's at the youngest and it looks like 60's o_O

Like Blank said though that could very well be true I remember that somewhat being hinted at in some of the stories in the games about the aging. Plus could account for why he's injecting his neck with something. Could be his whole body is internally starting to fail. Who knows

Was that explained in MGS2? I think I remember something like that. That makes more sence then and makes it kinda interesting. But if they're going to kill off the series then why did they make the agreement to keep it on the ps3?

Well either way. That's the only exclusive title I'd be interested in. Not spending 1000$ just to play 1 game.
