It should be fine the warranty goes from the serial #. As long as it's never been opened up or damaged due to abuse.

You shouldn't treat your 360 like you treat those Tijuana prostitutes Joel.

I don't think so because gamestop and EB sell used systems.

Yeah and don't go for that 100% feedback with only 20 transactions ****. Look for a high 90's with at least 500 feedbacks. This will pretty much ensure, or at the very least reduce the chance of being bamboozled.

i heard about that. but with things such as gift cards or xbox live cards thats really hard to be sure about what ur getting unless you call the number to check the balance and what not. i've avoided doing business with cards as those are easy to get scammed on

Um, make that 2 members. I was speaking with Whittal last night, whom I went through some things with him and he got jipped on the code as well. Same deal. He called MS and they confirmed it was a dummy code. When you put in a code on a new profile and it say doesn't work, it automatically offers you the 1 month free, so peole see that and assume that it all worked. The easiest way to check is to view your membership and simply check the expiry date. In Whittals case, it was next month, so much for a 13 month code!

Now he has to liase with the Ebay seller to rectify this. Hence I cannot stress enough to really be sure about these codes. I mean at the end of the day, why not just buy it at a store?

In terms of selling 360s on ebay, if they say its brand new and boxed, and you get it, and its not as described, you can lodge a dispute and seek refund, just be sure to pay via paypal.

Also, I just sold my premium unit today, and I made sure I made the auction descriptive by telling people the serial number and that its never been barred, or opened, so theres no confusion. Its all straight up honesty which is whats important. Beware of people that just say, xbox 360, as it, working, opened and used once or twice! Please!

I got so many bidders cause I told everyone it was a great console, no issues and simply I just upgraded to elite. People were happy. Thats why it sold for a healthy $455 AUD, or at 85c exchange rate, around $387 US dollars.
