I just bought a pretty Halo 3 Wireless Headset. I charged it for a full cycle before i used it so i figured i was good to go. I was skeptical at first because i have read some pretty scathing reviews of the wireless but i decided to give it a go. In the instruction manual it said that it would alert me to low battery with a beeping noise. I just took it off the charger for some TF2, and seconds after it was displaying full battery it was beeping in my ear every minute or so. Do they beep to let you know they are on, or did i get a defective headset?

They beep every 30-60 seconds or so when muted.

How old is Joe Paterno now? 103? Wasn't he Bart Starr's college coach?

Correct, the headset will beep to let you know that it is on mute. Just press the middle silver button to unmute and it won't beep anymore. All in all it's pretty good and hasn't let me down.

Going on 81 actually. During the game the showed highlights of his defensive play for Brown University's class of 1950. Must have been before the Coke bottle cataract glasses.

It was a off-topic duo. Don't be foolish! He complimented his on-topic statement with an off-topic for better structure and balancing.

how good are the wireless mics? ive gone through so many wired ones. also, can you use the official ms pc mic? it looks exactly the same but is 10 bucks cheaper

IMO, the wireless mics are pieces or solidified **** molded in to an ear piece. The first red flag for me was the range. With a wired headset I could go outside on my porch and smoke while I played GRAW and what not. With the wireless headset once I step outside and take two steps back from the door I get nothing but dead air. I can't hear anything nor can the others hear me. Mind you that my door is not 5 feet from my TV and Xbox 360. I was also able to walk upstairs to jump in the SB with the wired but the wireless loses connectivity with the 360 once I get into my office. Also, the audio quality is sub par and was not as crisp and clean as the wired. Suffice it to say, I dropped 60 papers on a product that I don't like. The upside is .... well it's wireless.

Malo's right, range and quality of the wireless is inferior. I also have an issue with comfort. I don't have big ears, yet the wireless pinches the hell out of my ear. I've gone back to the wired headset, and I'm trading the wireless into Gamestop. I managed to buy it for $20, so I'll get my money back in trade. Should I get FIFA 08?

Asking if you should get FIFA 08 is like asking if you should breathe
