360 release help..

Ok, I know when halo 2 came out, there was like a 12:00 party to get it, and there were tons of people, well will that happen with the 360? And also, at gamestop when I preordered, I asked if It was the 1st or 2nd shipment, and he said its first come first serve, so do you think I will have a better chance getting a 360 if I go back and pay full for all of my 360 or paying the night it comes out?

You have a much better chance of getting one at launch if you completely pre-pay it.

Alrighty thanks man, Now i gotta go back and pay it off. And anyone know how that works? like do I bring the recipt that I preordered it and pay the rest off?

Yes, Night Owl...I'm an employee at gamestop...by the way there WILL be release parties at 12 AM, all across the country, so better get there then. :)

Well that could mean two things....either, your in the second "release" which means that you can't go at 12 AM on November 22, but in the morning when the store opens regularly...now, you can say that doesn't make sense, but those who are in the first release, have the CHOICE of getting it at 12 AM, you don't have the choice, thats the only difference between first and second release....or if he said second "shipment" that would mean that you are in the next shipment of them, which could arrive at any time after the first shipment, so don't be surprised if a shipment comes in on November 23rd....these things will be flying off the shelves and we need to keep them instock to make customers happy :top:

There will more than likely be release parties in all major gaming stores worldwide come the 360's launch.

Just got back from work...completely sold out of 1st and 2nd shipments, on to the 3rd, lol....We also just got word for a time frame when the second shipment will becoming, could be from november til christmas :(

At least we know the 360 is in demand, just think about the new Xbox Live and all the people that will be on it while you wait for yours to arrive. Or buy one from some where else like Wallmart.
I am glad this situation isn't happening in the UK I love being the third person on the pre-order list

The local GameCrazy (attached to a Hollywood Video) said that they would "probably" be having a launch party at midnight on the 22nd. However, they are NOT requiring you to pre-pay the entire amount to ensure that your 360 will be available. Anybody who pre-orders will get one, up to the limit of that first shipment. It's not how much you pay on your pre-order - it's when you pre-ordered.

i'm gonna have to go to the midnight party man (just hope my dad is willing to stay if not well i've got friends :D ) but when i went to my gamestop and pre-ordered mine they said i was on "second shipment" (this was like 2 months ago though) and that i would still be getting mine on launch day so it might be because i orded so long ago so just thought i would through that out there.
