When exactly is the second shipment of Xbox 360s

I've been told by the ebgames employee that the 2nd shipment is a week after launch. Now some people are saying that the 2nd shipment is the day after release date, so when is it really?

Retailers will have their first "shipment" well be before "launch", ready for the actual launch day. They have said that stock will be replenished on a weekly basis, so I would guess that it will be less than a week after "launch" before the second "shipment" arrives.

Why? I can't understand people paying something off completely when the thing doesn't even launch for a couple of months.

I personally would rather have the money in my account earning me interest rather than giving a store money for something they haven't got.

If all you mean is that you have the money saved up, then fine, but actually physically paid off....pointless.

those who went though the PSP release know that this is just scare tactics by retailers like Eb. I was on the third shipment for the PSP... guess what... I had it launch day. They get many shipments in before launch day normally.

yeah these stores love to use scare tactics, I put 50 down on an x360 as a "just in case" If they don't have it on launch day i'll just go to the best buy that is across the street, then i'll use my 50 bucks to get a game.

This is my plan as well, would rather buy from Bestbuy as they usally have some good deals on games.

But I do have $50 down on the unit, $5 on a wirless controller, $5 on Oblivion and $5 on Quake 4. Just in case. I can return the preorder or just use all that credit to buy a 360 game.

Worse case if they wanted to be pricks is buy all the stuff then return it as non of it is open its there policy and would have to allow the return.

im pretty sure that the 2nd shipment will be there on launch day thats what my gamestop told me... they even told me that when it was 1 month before the launch of the psp and they were right so yeah i would say the 2nd shipment will be there on launch day :)

I dunno where you guys are hearing this stuff, but i work at Gamestop, and we have no idea when the second shipment is coming in, they don't tell us....We only know the first shipment is coming in before the 22nd, because thats the release date...but, no one, and i mean NO ONE, could know when the second shipment is coming, because they just come...theres no warning before that...right now we have a time frame of after launch day to christmas, so it could come anywhere between that. Sorry for the letdown. And another thing, do not compare PSP to XBOX 360...xbox 360 production value is high, and much, much, MUCH more expensive...That is why there were so many PSP's, because the production value is lower, and not as many people have bought them.
