Do you think shops will offer good bundles? I mean like a discount on a game or 2 when bought with the machine? Or do you think that retailers will think that theres gonna be a high demand and a shortage and charge full amount?

Iv worked out that if I get-
Console - £279.99
Extra Pad £32.99
DOA 4 - £44.99
Quake 4 - £44.99
Project Gotham 3 - £44.99

It totals £447.95

It would be nice to have £10 off each game or something.

What do you guys think?

I think most stores may offer something along these lines:
Buy a 360 with any game for only £300 (never gonna be that cheap) or something along those lines. And then just make more and more expensive ones with more games and periphels.

I just worked out my package:
One Xbox 360 console-£280
Kameo-£45
Condemmed-£45
VGA Cable-£20
Play and Charge kit-£15

That comes to-£405 plus I want Ghost Recon and PDZ and Oblivion soon after that I am gonna need alot of cash or trade in every game and system I own, the Next Generation just got expensive.....

I think if past launches of consoles are anything to go by Amazon and co will probably offer two games (PDZ & DOA4 at a guess), an additional controller and possibly a players guide for PDZ as some sort of value pack. My main concern is that if they can no longer guarantee premium packs for the launch date will those of us like myself who have an existing pre order be able to upgrade? No one seems to be offering any bundles at the minute though so it's all just speculation.

Money shouldn't be that hard to come by. At least not in America. Anyone teenager can get a job, work 20 hours a week, and get $100+. In 6 weeks, they would have enough for a 360, a couple games, and a controller.

NOTE- That's guessing that their going to make minnimum wage, and only work 20 hours each week.

I go to school, work 30 hours a week, at $9 an hour (minnimum wage is either $5.50 or $6, I can't remember)

To answer the thread's question. Only, if the stores that sells it decides to. Which I wouldn't count on it.

is there any stores in the UK on a first come first serve basis for the 360. I am flying up from Malta for the launch and no stores will take my preorder cause I am in a different country. Someone please help!

I'd probably try Woolworth's or somewhere like that for a first come first serve console. They don't tend to be as popular for the preorders as dedicated game shops, music shops, electrical shops and the like. I popped into my local one to buy a paper before work the day the PSP came out and they had them available to buy there and then. It's quite a trip from Malta to buy a console though. I take it you guys are one of the countries outside the "synchronised global launch".

I was on the virgin megastore site and it seems like they are not taking preorders

It seems logical that shops will sell a 360 and the most poular game's for 300 pounds (pound key isn't working)

I am getting one from Gamestation since I am very loyal towards that store and I live 5 mins away from it, if you want a first come first served service tryTesco as they always get large qwuantitys of games and consoles at once, like for instance my local Tesco had 900 copies of San Andreas delivered to it by launch day, all had sold out by the Saturday.

My experience with bundles is you get alot for your money, BUT I also find stuff that I dont need at that moment, and usually they stick you with at least 1 or 2 games you wouldnt have otherwise bought.bottom line if you have bundles of cash they will have bundles of bundles
peace.
