Hi all, I'm new to this so please be patient. Just retired and bought myself an Xbox 360 Elite so I'd have something to do. I'm told that gaming online is a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to it. Of course, I'll have to spend some time learning how to actually play the game before I go "live". A friend told me that this is a great place for helpful tips on how to get the most out of the system.

Well, hello and welcome to the community! I am more or less in the same boat as you at least as far as just getting the 360 elite. (No where near retirement age yet, but rather still am in school to get to my profession) I've not yet started playing online since I have some games to keep me pre-occupied offline. Mostly in the way of Mass Effect, and two other games that came with my Elite.

Though I still cannot find the card that I thought was supposed to come with my it; or at least I thought was supposed to be a 2 month card.

As far as the community goes and the information, it seems to me so far that your friend was correct in informing you about this site. Furthermore as a big plus, many of the people on this forum seem mature in comparison to the members who frequent other such x-box 360 communities.

So all in all welcome to the community and it's good to see another person who is new to the owning of an x-box system :)
