I have been having issues browsing the forums. When I click on any thread in Firefox and I have my cursor merely in the window, the page loads halfway then goes back to the page before it. It does this repeatedly until I move my cursor outside of the Firefox window and I have to wait for the page to load completely before putting my cursor back into the Firefox window to scroll and whatnot. Anyone else have this problem?

thats kinda strange, i use Firefox with no issues and have never experienced what you are referring to at this site or any other. Maybe clear out your temp files and what not, and see if an uninstall/reinstall of firefox helps

yeah i'm having a similar problem, i'll be reading a new page and then at any random time it'll just go back to the page before it, it doesn't always happen but it's pretty regular, and it only happens with this site, also i'm using firefox

Yea only happens with this site as well. Not all forums either. For example just now, Xbox 360 General forum and clicked on the banned Xbox 360 commercials thread and it happened there. Leave your cursor anywhere in the FireFox main window and it automatically goes back over and over again. Tried clearing cookies and temp files, no joy.

Try using the site in internet explorer - see if it does the same thing. I've been having problems with FF lately so i just stick with IE now.

viewing the site with firefox now, no issues. But i had issues with FF at work yesterday trying to look at the gateway site and dell sites (comparing notebook prices). wouldn't even load the gateway. i went to IE and it loaded fine. not sure what the dealy is.

It happens to me about once a year. Wipe your hard drive, it'll solve all your problems.

How can you remember something so small as this hapenning only once a year? Talk about insane memory.

ah yes, a good formatting. i used to tdo that about once a year. but i have a pre-service pack 1 disc, so it takes a long time to download sp1 and sp2 and all the updates and drivers, so i have been slacking lately.
does vista hold up better then xp as far as deterioration of files and that kind of thing? or if you format, do you have to buy another 400 dollar copy of vista to re-install?

You shouldnt really have to format ur computer unless its got some viruses or you ****ed something up... and ususally there are ways to fix it without doing a full format and re-install of windows.. i used to format my computer like 2wice a year but these days im just more careful and i know what not to do to **** it up... also you dont need to buy a new copy of your OS because you can just use the same CDkey you did before...
