Sorry about that I just hate these kinda things where just about everyone says Hi I am new to this site...which everyone knows that already....(sorry I am being a little sarcastic)


Anyways I joined b/c I cannot get my live ID working...all I have done is set up another stupid email account.....*le sigh* I don't know what to do or how to actually get one...no confirmation email was sent to my other accounts and I checked them to make sure they were right before I finalized everything. Oh not to mention my bf got an ID and cant figure out why I cant get one.

Welcome to the site....to setup your Windows Live ID im pretty sure you can set it up at Xbox.com and they ask for your credit card to confirm etc.

You might want to be a little more specific as it could be a number of things. For clarification, you created a new email account in order to create a new Xbox Live ID or did you simply change the email account associated with the Live ID?

I created my live account only to get on to XBL. I tried going to Xbox.com but when i typed in my live account it said that that email did not match my gamertag. My bf said that when he got his ID that it gave him the option to add his gamertag but live hasn't ever given me the option to do so.

If you had an existing LIVE account, use the old email address to log in to xbox.com and remove the old address by replacing it with the new. A confirmation email should have been sent to the email account which you used to set up the LIVE access. If you did not receive this confirmation, chances are a typo was made while inputting the actual address. If the account was set up with a credit or debit card contact MS and provide them with retinal scans, blood tests, and whatever else they may need to confirm your identity. Afterwards, they should provide you with all the information you need including the address used to set up the account.
