the orange box- weapon select

why can't I select the right direction on the d-pad!? I can"t use the smg or the shotgun in HL2 unless I run out of ammo with the pistols or grenades!!!GEEZ!!!

Maybe your right d-pad is screwed up? Do you have any other controllers you can try?

Yea, I have five and none work in TOB, but all work fine in all the other titles.WTF??

I know it might sound stupid but is it because your not hitting the d pad twice, you need to go across twice to get to the shotgun

And three times to get across to the Pulse rifle

I understand, once up for pistol, twice up for revolver! once left for grenade, twice for rocket launcher. When I push right on all controllers nothing happens! the weapon menu doesn't even come up unless up, down or left is pressed. No one else has had this problem? I hate how in the controller options you can't even choose another option for weapon select. I'm just gonna start punchin myself in both eye's.
