I love the Organization that XBL has compaired to other platforms,Friends, marketplace, games and communication all in one,the PC has come close with XFIRE but I think the XBOX will lead in Ease of Use and organization.

i can't wait for video chat....one of my friends want me to teach her guitar and since she lives in south carolina, and i am in washington, that's the easiest way.

not to mention the fact that instead of the crappy download area we have right now for our xbox, there'll be a place to trade, buy, sell, swap whatever you want with cars for games, custom builds, maps, etc.

developers can keep adding on more stuff to the games we love and keep building for years if they wanted!

You won't need anything from your old Xbox console - it will come ready to play straight out of the box :)

will the 360 come with a router built into it or will the old wireless router need to be used from the original xbox???

so at what connection speed will 360 be able to handle,at the moment the present xbox can have say 16max in any one xlive game so with the increased process power of 360 there should be more people able to play in one game which would mean you would need a greter internet conncection speed would'nt you?

jonny, I don't know what the big thing about web browsing is, you mention it in every thread you create or post in. If this feature is the main reason you want to buy a console then you're in the wronge market. Consoles are for gaming and providing the best gaming experience possible, it's not about web browsing.

PS2 on-line is a good attempt at on-line gaming for a console but totally falls short compared to the Xbox's Live service. Xbox Live isn't just about playing games on-line, it's about the social side of it as well.

having been a Playstation online 2 gamer for over a year I am very disgruntleld with the service.

All game seem to have AR and XP code users which spoil the game for other gamers who want to play the games normaly.
Most of the servers are poor in compareson to Xbox LIVE.
No HHD to down load pacths, udates or even DLC to. The DLC from MGS 3 will fill one memory card. The pacth for Socom II is arround 3 MB same for Battle front so with those pacths and the DLC from MGS 3 takes up nearly 2 mem card. (of course the no HDD problem is only for the PAL gamers as sony have screwed us PAL gamers yet again.
A lot of ganmes no voice chat.
Only one game that I have had seems to be taking cheating with codes seriously which is capcom, Any one cought will be banned instantly.

You get what you pay for. I have had little problems with XBL over the 12 months+ i have had it but o constantly have problems with ps2 online.

I love my F1 games and F1 2004 was just online time trials to set the fastest time and even they used cheats on that to get the better times.

Ps2 online rated for me out of 10 would be 4 Xbox live rated out of 10 would be 9.

i don't normaly rate something until i have tried it.

But the silver package 5/10 as they are going to be better servers than ps2 and hopefully no cheat discs like ps2
Gold package 9.5/10

But that could change once I experienced it.

Gold level allows you to play multiplayer games online. The silver level will let you download content and everything that xbox live has now except play multiplayer online but I heard with silver you will be allowed to play multiplayer online on select days or weekends so best bet is to buy the gold membership hope this helps.

If ur a true gamer, u will just pay the £50 and enjoy the service. I think 4 a year £50 is a good price, plus if ur taking ur console online u only want it for 1 reason - MULTIPLAYER. So u will need the gold service because i dont see the free days on silver coming around that often.

As a rating i would give xbox live - 9/10
and i hopeing that xbox360 live will push it to 10/10

you know what i wish microsoft would do with silver? i wish microsoft would make it to where if you had an xbox live gold on your xbox that someone with a silver version would be able to play multiplayer games too. or at least be able to play when the person with a gold account is playing.

It's already been announced that Silver does NOT have free weekends but will have promo days.

You can still voicechat, make a profile, do marketplace stuff, etc..
