I have a stupid question,I hear playing dvd's will kill your disc drive after awhile that is what happened to ps2 owners. Is it true?I dont need it for dvd's because I have a monster home theatre system but I know my son will want to watch dvd's because I pre ordered a 10 inch t.f.t. screen for him for christmas.I had one for my x-box and other than it being way overpriced I really enjoyed it. If you cannot afford hi-def or plasma for graphic enhancment this 10" screen is the way to go to get the best graphics
availible. The screen was only 4.5" for the last gen.systems so this is really cool.

Sony is known to produce products that can't take much destruction. Not to say their bad products, just fragile. Microsoft, however, makes their products to be capable of taking well beyond normal house hold destrcution. You will have no problem playing movies, for even days straight, on you X-Box 360.

I made a thread about Microsoft cooking a bunch of 360's in a giant oven for something like a couple days, just to test the QA standards and see if the chips malfunction. I would link you the article or thread but it seems to have been removed.

If a mod deleted this post can I please get an explanation as to why? I saw nothing wrong with it and I'm a bit tired of my posts and threads being deleted without so much of a PM or notice.

It would be appreciated. Thank you :)

x-box dad - I'll try to find the article again for you. It's a very interesting read. MS put the 360 through a lot to make sure it wouldn't burn out even with prolonged play times. You'll be very satisfied with the 360.
