xbl has now reached the 2 million subscription mark, well ahead of schedule.

according to the article, there's a new account every 30 seconds. here's the read:

Hmm, 2 million subscribers, $50 per subscription, equals $100 million more for M$. Happy day indeed! Not that I get any of that, actually, I have contributed to it. Ugg, crappy day!

I'm not suprised that it reached it - LIVE is the best thing about Xboxes, I'd hardly use mine otherwise.

Like blank, I believe the xbox is made for live. If it wasnt for live, i wouldnt have an xbox, or i certainly wouldnt play it as much. Its the best thing about this gen of consoles, and the fact that 2million are on live, just makes me think there are millions of xbox owners NOT on live! madness!

I'm suprised it took so long!

Like blank, I believe the xbox is made for live. If it wasnt for live, i wouldnt have an xbox, or i certainly wouldnt play it as much. Its the best thing about this gen of consoles, and the fact that 2million are on live, just makes me think there are millions of xbox owners NOT on live! madness!

well, considering that subscriptions have doubled in less than a year, xbl is finally appealing to the masses.

also, with the 2 million mark, i wonder how long it will be before 3 or 4, maybe even 5 million before 360 comes out.

When papasmerf and I play only it doesn’t seem that there’s that many noobs on. But we play at 1 in the morning when all the modders are out.

yeah but thanks to the autoupdate i haven't seen a single frickin modder...also there really aren't that many noobs we have to face. there's plenty out there tho and i've schooled them lol...

modders without mods=priceless

there was this modder i challenged to a game in midship. 25-3. he got 3 kills to start then i ended with an overkill....they're just disgruntled little noobs who want to piss off the good players.

Microsoft did not realese the relavant stats that make this statement feasible. You guys are forgetting about 2 Month Free cards and other promotional offers. What I'm saying is a lot of these people could be just part-time subscribers, and getting the service free. But props to Microsoft. Xbox Live is a superb online gaming service and it will skyrocket on Xbox 360.

U have a point
But there’s a new way they kick modders off the system. It’s called ISP banned, that means that the servers don’t allow an ISP connection to a list of houses on their data base of modders

So even when they get their new 2 months free cards, their house’s ISP will not connect to the Xbox live servers.
