Hardest games to get at launch?

I plan on buying 4 or 5 games at launch, there are so many good looking tiles I cant help myself.

Since I am preordering the system at ebgames I am planning on preordering 2 games from them as well. Then getting the rest at Best Buy or another store that will have deals or sales on the games. For example Best Buy will very likely do what they did with the PSP. Buy 2 games get a $10 Giftcard but 3 games get a $20 gift card or something along those lines.

Anyway I wanted to preorder the games that might be harder to get or sell out faster on launch day, either becuase of popularity or stores are likley to order less of them.

Well, the launch titles havn't been anoucned yet, so I really couldn't tell you. However, from the lists, Perfect Dark Zero is going to to be the only hard game to get. Next to it, Oblivion, and possibly Project Gotham 3.

I have high hopes for Dead Rising, but little hopes that it will make launch. Were going to wait tell January for this one.

EBgames,and Gamestop, will be selling their games the day they receive them. which could very well be, a week in advance from the launch date. Stores like Bestbuy, and Target, won't sell the games, or system, untill launch.

So far sounds like PDZ will be a hard to get game. Next to Oblivion. I my self am most loking forward to NFS:MW

Well, I don't want you to get me wroung. See, system launch games don't usually receive a "street date", as the system does. The system baring a "Street date", means the store can't sell it before that date, under penalty of law. The games, under a simple "release date" can be put on the shelf as soon as received by the store. Some stores though, choose to hold the games anyway.

Why I'm saying this, is because when a system launches, usually the games and system arive at the store a week in advance. Which SUCKS if you work there, because you see the system in the back room, and you can't play it.

My guess is Oblivion will be hardest (this is assuming any of them are hard to get which i dont think they will be) b/c retailers will most likely under estimate the demand for this title and stalk up on PDZ, PGR3, GR:AWF, Saint's Row and other similar titles that are considered "popular" amongst the media.

I am still undecide if I get PDZ. I neve played the original game so nothing really to compare it to, I need to read up om it some more.

Recon73, Perfect Dark was like Golden Eye, except it was on fire doing 130mph through a hospital zone being chased by ninjas, and the ninjas were on fire too.

Have you taken the time to read some of the features that will be in PDZ? I like it more than Halo 2s. Not that Halo 2 is bad, but the ideas presented in PDZ should be, IMO, put into Halo 3- God willing.

I think ill agree with ares042, oblivion will probablly be harder to find than most due to its seemingly low media profile, hope its not true tho, cause its the only for sure title i wanto to buy at launch

Hey bud, if you can look into that crystal ball and tell me the sales figures too, that would be great.

You're acting as if I was saying it was going to be a massive hard ship to obtain PDZ. It won't, it won't be hard to get any of the launch games. I just through out a guess, and I said Oblivion as a second, and PGR3 as a 3rd (but doughtful). You put out a statement.

To tell you the truth, I still find it hard to beleive PDZ will make it to launch. Rare isn't exactly known to make titles on time. I would asume, with their reputation, that it comes out early next year. Then again, sence it's the Xbox 360's most anticapated launch game, I'm not to sure. Guess we will find out soon.

all you have to do is pre-order and your fine. i'm guessing the hardest for ppl to get like a couple days after launch that havn't pre-orded will be pdz

I think it could be Call of Duty 2, at my local Gamestation every pre order has that in it except mine and one staff members one and on mostly "what are you preordering" threads on the internet every one says CoD2 so I think that may be the sell out game. Afterall not everybody has played the original Pefrect Dark or even now what it is or looks like and lest face it the CoD2 screenshots are far more exciting for the casuals than the PDO are.
Although the hardest to get game may be Halo 3........(think about it)

PS I am not calling every person that buys CoD2 a casual gamer, so don't get me wrong.

Gamepro just had a whole section of, Countdown to Xbox 360, Saint's Row was featured, and they were raving about how good it is, and how it could be a GTA killer, but it may not be ready for launch...I think most people will underestimate this game, as I have not heard a lot about it till now, so I think this game may be hard to get.
