I woner if the graphics that I see during the next gen commercial for madden
really look like that, for some reason I find it hard to believe that it wont have that"cartoony"look to it.

Remember:hard work always pays off in the future, but laziness pays off now.

That would really depend. Do you have a high definition TV? :)

I dont have hi def just digital cable, but my wife bought me a 16" L.c.d. t.v.
for our kitchen and the picture is incredible, should I just use that.I know the screen is smaller but the graphics are probably much better huh?

I really can't answer that. I'm not a High Definition TV wizard like some people in these forums. If it's an LCD TV it probably is, but check the manual and see if it says anywhere. if it says HDTV ready or HDTV built in or HDTV anything it probably is. Anyways, the point is you need a High Definition TV (HDTV) to get quality that good. Standard Definition (regular TV's) are just not going to cut it.

EDIT: Sorry, that doesn't mean on a Standard Definition TV it will look bad. It will still look great, just not as good as on a High Definition TV.

they've already shown thats not how the graphics look. There are already some threads with actual IN GAME pics. Its better than the current gen but it still looks like madden. It doesn't look anything like that commercial (which lead to a lot of hate posts to EA) which they said that commercial was just a "possible target" of what they could do. Which thats the old Commercial they showed like in your avatar.

I know they have that new one for Burger King or something and thats in game if thats the one you mean.

and yeah High Def TV's will make the model just that much clearer and the colors more vibrant. Its mainly just the details are more crisp due to the much higher resolution making it sharper

Ahh... Well that blows. I don't like EA anyways.

I may be old but not always wise....you guys know more about t.v.'s
than the boys at best buy.....It seems to me that the racers are gonna have the best graphics...although I prefer war games and sports..

oh dont worry my friend Call of Duty 2 and Perfect Dark Zero along with Ghost Recon Advanced Warrior all have spectacular graphics. And dont forget Gears of War coming out next year :) plus these are just the 1st gen of the next generation of games. Launch titles are always kinda just a taste of whats to come. 2-3 years from now games that will be coming out on these new systems will make the launch titles look pathetic by comparison. once the developers wrap their heads around sucking all the power out of the consoles

sure thing, EA really shouldn't have set the bar so high before they knew what they could do. Or at least not have shown it to the public. In a few years though they could get Madden to look close to that, so just watch for newer versions to see if they can improve on it. 06 was more than likely rushed and so is basically just a graphically updated version of the current gen titles whereas maybe the next one will be built from the ground up on the new systems and can take better advantage of the technology. I wouldn't be surprised if 06 doesn't even use a fraction of the Xbox360's power since they were crunched for time and didn't get very creative

haven't heard anything, no telling which its possible they'll add maybe something to try and convince people to buy the 360 version rather than the current one. So who knows

Now while those pics that co ray gave the link to may not have looked as good as what we thought we were getting, still pretty good, i will be buying it, just not right at launch. Now just imagine what madden 07 or 08 are gonna look like!
