RRoD Problem?

Hey, my console gives me the RRoD (4 rings), but only when the A/V cable isn't plugged into the console. I was wondering if this is supposed to happen? Or if its a problem and i should take it back?

If someone else could check if their console does this, it would be great.

It's displaying 4 rings indicating the cable is not connected. The RRoD is displayed as 3 quadrants. Only then should you send back. In future just make sure everything is hooked up properly.
