I thought the next gen of consoles would be beyond needing a s-video cable for picture enhancement, apparentley not because it is an option,my question is does the s-video cable come with the system and how much is it going to enhance my picture? It made quite a difference with the current x- box,I have just a regular big screen but I also have an l.c.d. t.v. although it is quite a bit smaller.

it doesn't come with the system. the system comes with the hd/standard cables combined into one cord(or just the standard for the core) and unless they havn't shown it then the s-video does not come with it but i think it is an accesory you can buy though. i can't answer your other question because i don't know myself and i never use s-video.

How much does s video enhance the picture? Do you use that and A/V together?

S video is a little better than composite (the yellow cable) and helps clean it up some. The HD Cables that come with the premium package are component and going to be that much better than the S-video. So if your big screen supports the component just go with that, if you dont have component hookups then yeah go snag that extra S-video cable. As it'll be better than just running the standard old composite cable
