GTAIV......Who Cares?

Is anybody else a little sick of all this GTA hype? This latest game in the series just looks like more of the same. I really liked GTA3 as well as Vice City (hated San Andreas) but after releasing the exact same game 3 times and playing other game companies GTA clones this game just doesn't impress me at all. The only big improvement I've seen so far is the graphics and they look far from the current graphical standards (look more like late cycle Xbox1). Unless this game has made some big changes in it's gameplay other than just the usual touch ups made to game sequals, I won't be getting this one.

Picking up hookers and running over pedestrians never gets old Hollywood. What I am most anticipating is the online play. I'm curious to see how it will work out but w/ it I'm sold.

I agree somewhat. I got so incredibly bored with the GTAs on last gen and I'm afraid this will be the same. But honestly it sounds a lot better and the new online additions should keep me interested for a while. Oh and as for the graphics looking late xbox cycle; are you kidding? True they are not the greatest graphics on the system but I'd say they are pretty impressive considering the size of the city and onscreen detail and action.

i always wanted to play a gta game, but i could never get into them. i don't know why. it's almost like the world is so big, you have to many choices, and you end up just driving around and shooting people, or run them down.

i have had more fun with the knock off games, like destroy all humans and crackdown (though i ended up getting stuck in this one). destroy all humans just kept my interest, and i found it pretty fun. Crackdown i really enjoyed leveling up my guy.

so i guess, i am pretty blah about this game, and not really looking forward to it at all.

With the already addictive singleplayer and now the addition of some sweetass multiplayer, I see no reason to not buy it. You're opinion will change, Hollywood.

GTA is my favorite game franchise, i've loved it since the beginning and i'm sure i'll love this one too, and hollywood, you going on about hype is rich, concidering you have 800+ points on halo 3 AKA the most overhyped piece of **** known to gaming

one thing that makes GTA IV a subject of my interest is the possibility for some live rampage. With 16 player online capabilities this may be the game to define who is the best russian immigrant on PX360

The Hype surrounding Halo 3 began since the announcement of the Xbox 360. With Call of Duty 4, Bioshock, and Mass Effect getting most of the attention last year, Hype for GTA hasn't really began to grow until most recently. I highly doubt it will "disappoint". If it's anything like prior GTA games it will be fun. The only question is; will it be a Vice City like great game or a meh good game such as San Andreas?

i really don't get why everyone says that, i though san andreas was much better, i mean don't get me wrong vice city was the **** but it was too cartoony and i didn't like the fact that it was set in the 80s so all the cars were lane looking

I'll admit after part 2 I stopped playing any game with GTA at the beginning. I've been keeping a close eye on GTA 4 though. I just read the review in Xbox magazine for the month of April. I think it is gonna kick some serious A-S-S...lol. In fact I just preordered it online.

im pretty pumped for gta, mainly because all the previous games have not let me down. Multiplayer is gonna be a bonus on what will probably be a pretty huge single player game anyway. I have it preordered at 2 places actually, whoever gets it in first gets my $$$ !!! duffel bag and lockbox FTMFW

I bet the game will have major bugs/glitches. There hasn't been one game they've released yet that hasn't. Manhunt was glitchy as hell and the recent release of Bully was unplayable.

If the multi-player is smooth then the game will sell 5 million copies asap. I'm just really really wanting the multi player to be good, especially the cops & crooks gametype. and the single player stuff is usually solid enought o be entertaining for many tens of hours.

i totally missed them. you should re post them so i can read them, or at least give me the gist. some of us have to work, so i miss, like, 18 hours worth of posting every day. i try to stay on a lot, but i just can't. really hard to look busy while i check the forums when my screen is viewable over my shoulder by every damn person that walks into my office. so i totally have to keep my screen on actual work. now...if i could turn my desk to face the door...

actually, they were moved to a new thread called Hunting that you've already seen. we went from GTA IV to hunting, to how i should change my avatar because it kills baby seals. much more interesting than work.

what you have to do is find someone who has the desk/cubicle area that you want. then just set them up to be fired. it's either them, or your off-task internet surfing. mercy is for the weak.
