Why do they friggen say the 360 will be out the 15th?!

actually they have warnings saying its "not the official release date and subject to change" you guys are freaking over nothing. They've had it listed as the 15th since way before the launch date was officially announced. They just haven't bothered to change it to the correct date. Big deal we know the real launch date and if you go ask them most will say the 22nd. So dont spaz sheesh

MS wanted to make it on the 15th as a 4th year aniversary to the original Xbox but things are really crazy. Last time it was just a North American launch date, but now they're pushing for a world wide launch date, not the 22nd, 2nd, and 10th that's been going around. That's what they told me at EB Games in Canada, however.

Also we're only getting 200, 000 units in Canada for the launch date. That's between every store all across Canada(NOT just EB Games, every store!)... I'm sorry but that is NOT ENOUGH! This console is in such high demand up here, you have no idea. EVERYONE is raving about it. I've shown trailers and screenshots to some friends who don't even care about games and they're instantly hooked and now they all want one. Seriously though, it's crazy up here. I'm almost thinking there will be rioting if there isn't enough to go around on launch date.

maybe your friends could drive over the border to get one depending how far up into canada you are ,I am only 30 min. from the border,If you have friends stateside maybe they can help.I wish ya luck

I'm about an hour from Niagra Falls. The thing is dude, with gas prices as they are the price almost balances out not to mention the time I'd have to spend on the trip. PLUS, if I get stopped at customs they might charge me duty on it. I'd have to take that risk also and I'm not sure if it's worth it.

I think they may be pressing for a world wide release date though. If that's true they may end up changing it again once they're ready for it, production and distribution wise of course.

What completely throws me off is how so many people whine and ***** about "backwards compatibility" when you can think about these awesome games you'll be playing and finally realize...

"wait a minute, these games own my third nipple! WHY am I ever going to want to play any of these old sucky games anymore?"

But nooo people still want to make sure their 'Indiana Jones: Emperors Tomb' still works on the 360. You know what I say? #%*& that I'm selling all my crap games. The only one's I'm keeping are collectors editions and the ones out of novelty IE KoToR series, Halo's etc.

But seriously, screw the old games. Bring on the 360!

that is true, there are only a hanful of games that i even care if they will run on the 360 and even if they dont then just keep the old xbox and do the un thinkable and hook it up if you really feel the need to play one of the old games

I can't imagine how they would do it. Maybe about the "war" that's going to happen in that unknown territory they were talking about? I forget it's been awhile. It would be interesting though... I'd really like to see it if BioWare decided to make it.

It would be really hard just because of how the story line went. They would have to go with the assumption that the story line between both kotor's went into a certain way. If you think about it ... Ahh actually I won't talk about that. I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone who hasn't beaten it yet. :)

those launch dates are finalized they will not change. that would cause riots if they were to change dates. and with 7 extra days of manufacturing from the 15th-22nd microsoft needs to squeeze as many consoles as possible. the UK is only getting 100,000 consoles. and i bet you there are double that pre-ordered.

No, thats when they are supposoblly being shippend to retail stores and the like, and no only a complete idiot would sell a 360 before launch as it could have some very "not fun" consequences. (pssst go to a game store you just might get lucky, lol)
