Microsoft has announced that they will be making Forza Motorsport 2 a classic game for the 360, giving racing fans another reason why they should pay more attention to this game. The game was developed by Turn 10 Studios as a sequel to Forza Motorsport for the Xbox 360. The classic edition for the game will be sold for the amazing price of $30.

There is no reason to not pick this game up now. With the DLC (that might go free) you have well over 300 cars. A great online community...and a mind-****ingly deep game ^_^

Woohoo. I love this game :). I joined a racing league a while back and it really squeezes the extra fun out of the game. I can't wait for FM3 :D.

It does at the moment seen as the full retail version of GT5 doesn't exist.
I've had more fun playing the GT5:P than I did with Forza 2. I liked the cars/customisation but it has to be one of the most repetitive racing games i've ever played. Forza 2 needed MORE tracks. Plus you cant use a decent wheel with forza either.
The full version of GT5 will blow Forza 2 and Forza 3 away. Mark my words.
So I traded it in for Command and Conquer. Another bad descision.

In my opinion, Forza is better than GT. Here are my reasons-
1. Forza has way more customizable options. It has a near limitless capability of doing whatever you want with your car. Whether it be a paint job, or performance tuning, everything is there for you.
GT, on the other hand, has a very limited capability of car customization- whether it being visual or performance.
2. Forza's damage aspect, and GT's lack of damage.
3. Forza's ability to tune your car using real time telemetry.
4. The cars in Forza sound spot on. Each car was put on a dynamometer to perfectly replicate the sound of each car. GT has a more general sound and is pretty repetitive.
5. Forza has a better online mode. You can customize your lobby to pretty much however you want. Some examples are restricting assists, putting restrictions on upgrades and other specs just to name a few. In GT, the game lobby customization is very limiting and plain.
6. Forza is more towards to sim side of racing. Having played both games, my opinion is that Forza is aimed more towards the sim racing crowd.
There are some advantages that GT has over FM:
1. The graphics of GT are ridiculously good looking and blow FM2 away in that department.
2. The in car view of GT is awesome, and I wish that FM2 had it :(
3. This one is a killer for me. The Logitech G25 :bawling:
4. The F2007, of course.
Keep in mind that I have barely played GT5: Prologue, but I'm on FM2 just about every day. I'm not biased, because I love any good racing game. The more realistic PHYSICS WISE, the better I like it.
That's why I think that Forza is better than Gran Turismo.

Dude you have just given the same examples as i would, however i'm not bothered about the f2007. I would like to add another one though and thats the prices of the cars i found Forza2's pricing more realistic.

i wanted to get forza 1 for the xbox, but couldnt find it. if this baby drops to 30 bucks i might well consider it, though this game sounds a lot more SIMish then what i like in a racer. but how can i go wrong when most of you racing guys on this site endorse it? :)

GT5p would have been a great teaser if it wasn't $40. One thing that pissed me off the most was the lack of online communication features. I can't believe they didn't implement the ability to host your own rooms or at least allow you to join a game with your friends. They didn't even enable voice communication! This was straight up horse**** and not worth the $40. However the office arcade was nice as well as the catchy soundtrack.
As far as the single player mode i'll agree with you that GT will blow Forza out the water. But if they don't get this online system together with basic communication and hosting features, Forza will be the better game in my opinion.
Sony has got to get it together with their online service. I hope Home or whatever will unify the system with basic communication features across all games. At this point, I don't care if the mockup the friggin Xbox dashboard. Its all about the online now in days.

w00t! I love forza I am ashamed they made it a "classic." All that means is the game is 2 years old and they want to sell more.
