I've watched the videos and this game looks like a complete letdown. I don't like the fact that Sam uses semi-stealth instead of full stealth. And it doesn't look like this game is gonna have multiplayer or Co-Op mode. Letdown in my book. What do you guys think?

i wouldn't get this game anyway. i have bought the first 1 for pc and for xbox and i could never get anywhere. i always try to be stealthy, but it just doesn't work out. so even if i am tempted to get this game, i won't.
but it i know the co-op was a big deal in the last one. wonder why they pulled it out?

weird how we now judge so many games by its multiplayer.
i had one of the earlier splinter cells, and like a lot of people, it just gets boring spending every level trying to become a complete shadow. i think they are making a smart move by not having to be as stealthy. plus, it looks like the in-game physics are gonna rock: realistic movement of furniture and people. i look forward to this game.
I have personally loved all of the Splinter Cell's to date. When you get in the harder difficulties and everything, it really gets intense trying to sneak around behind guys and get everything so perfect while using so much improvisation. The fact that everything flowed together so smoothly was awesome. This new one though, I don't know. It looks like it'll be a bit more front-on assault type thing, which seems like a good transition from what Double Agent was. Hopefully they keep a lot of the stealth part intact.

I've played every Splinter Cell and loved every single ****ing one (Double Agent doesn't count). Hell, SP: Chaos Theory is a top 3 game all-time for me.
I'm worried but optimistic about this one. I love the stealthy, in-the-shadows, fun that the first 3 SPs brought, but this seems like a big departure from it. That could prove bad, but we'll see. I do like how improvisation and use of the surroundings, objects, and physics are going to play a huge part in it this time. We'll see if it works. If not, expect to see either no more SPs in the future or Ubisoft going back to the old formula (which I thought was just fine and prefer).

This game will be good but doubt it will be great like the first 3 were. I want to sneak in the shadows not walk around in the daylight. Since this game hasn't been seen in a while I expect the game has been majorly overhauled.

Ubisoft have definetely taken a bold move with this new Splinter Cell game. And I think it will definetely make up for the failure that Double Agent was. I think it's still stealth, but a different kind of stealth, and I think it's good that they're trying to change it. I mean, it's about time they try something new, it's going to be the 5th game. So I am really looking forward to Conviction.

the interactive system they're proposing in one of the videos seems pretty impressive if they pull it off. Give it a chance man, don't make a judgement about a game with limited media.

I think he's on the run because he's been framed (who?) and he's on the run from the NSA.
That's pretty much the main theme, i believe.

No, how are they?
they were the sneak around hide in the dark game, use different arrows on different things (like water arrow to take out lanterns, moss arrows to keep your footfalls quiet, etc...) Think they might have been the original sneak around type game.

Is it better or equal to Halo books?

Never read the Halo books. That's just plain nerdy.
For the most part, the Halo books were better written, but that's not to say the Splinter Cell series isn't also very good.

But i thought you were halo guy.
I kinda wanted to read them, i would like some backstory to the story, but i dont' really care about it that much, so i don't want to read it afterall. and i really hate halo, so that is probably another reason. Oh, and i would have to buy them, that's a good reason too, to not read them.

I only play Halo when my friend is 'round my house. Fact.
