COD4 gun question

I prefer assault rifles. What assault rifle is very accurate( say, with an acog scope) and does some decent damage? Not by the charts the game shows, but by experience and use. I wouldn'd exclude smg's as an option.

You just need to work with each gun alot and see which one you like best, Personally each time I start playing I have to play for a short while and try different guns until I hit on one that is working for me. Usually it's the SAW but I also seem to roll out with the M4 or AK-47 alot. The P90 with a silencer can also be a very nice tool of destruction.

i normally run with quickfire sniper rifles. The 2nd one down the list (forgot its name) is what I run with alot, since you can shoot as fast as you pull the trigger, zoomed in or hip fire.

I would have to agree with RPG here with the M4. But not the MP5. You should use P90 w/ silencer. Then put Stopping Power and probably Martyrdom if you're using it for close-up maps.

Personally, I like the M16, it's great for long distance shots with the red dot scope and close shots but when I'm in a tight map I go with the M4 so you can get off a few quicker rounds. I don't like the ACOG scope for some reason, I just seem more accurate with the red dot.

For what you're describing I would definitely recommend the M16. It has awesome accuracy, and it's 3 shot burst is almost always good enough to take down anybody.
If you want a full automatic rifle, I would recommend the G36C.

I agree with Jay, i too believe that I just seem more accurate with the red dot. And on a personal note, i'm a little bit biased on the M16's and M4's too. The M16 is perfect for those longer ranged shots, while the M4 is quite excellent for close quarters.

On topic:
The M16 w/ red dot destroys just about anyone/anything. It is ridiculously accurate and deadly at medium/long range. The only bad thing about it is that it makes ***s ***** and wine about how nubbish it is. Since when did nubbish things pwn everyone in sight?

I'd buy an Integra Type R, but it would be a backward step for me in the power department. They are superb cars though and sound awesome.

AK-47 w/ silencer, quick reload, and steady aim, is the best gun in the game (imo) on most of the maps, just try it and you will be amazed :shakehand

I don't understand why people put Sleight of Hand on guns that aren't LMGs. And Josh, think about the Nube Tube.
Anyways, I still recommend the M16. Put a red dot, stopping power, and steady aim and you're good to go. It's excellent at long and medium range with the red dot and the steady aim will help a lot in close quarters.
If you want a full automatic gun I recommend the G36C, red dot, stopping power, and whatever 3rd perk you decide. It's also pretty awesome at mid to long range and in close quarters you can take advantage of how it's fully automatic and own.

Shotguns with SOH maybe? As for the Nube Tube, I use it and pwn with it. What, I shouldn't use something because it's good? NTY. The same goes for grenade tags, nube tubes, juggernaut, e.t.c.

The reason people get mad about the noob tube, is because they believe it takes very little skill. In the beginning of the game on some maps you can just launch it across a map and get 3 kills. You don't even have to hit the guy, just hit near him.
I don't care about juggernaut.
I get mad about grenade tagging because I felt it was slightly glitched, similar to knifing in COD4. I would get tagged from over 5 feet away and I couldn't do anything except make sure my teammates don't die too.

the blast range on the grenades seems to vary. i have had it land not near me, and on the side of an obsticle and it will blow me up good.

i never get anyone with the noob tube. i was in a map the other day, and i don't know if the guy was being a jerk, but he killed me like 4 times with the grenade launcher at close range, so it didn't blow up, but still killed me.
