Indeed it does. i was hoping the controls would, at least different, if not better. not really being a GTA fan, i found this, like Kona said, almost exactly as GTA3, as far as movement and my ability to get lost quickly.
I haven't tried online yet though...but i am not sure it will change my opinion much.

I'll wait for Saints Row 2 for at least an enjoyable open world experience.

I liked all the customization options you had in Saints Row for your character. They should have left that in GTA4.

I assume Shane that you bought GTA for PS3. Did it require a manditory 5gb install ala DMC4? Just asking. Since a lot of newer PS3 games do that.

Yeah, but I dont really care The loading is quicker and less stuttering issues so Im happy to let it install, used to it with PC games. will get annoying when my HDD and external HDD are full though

I have a bias here against GTA games. I just don't like them much. So, really, anything i have to say bad about it, should be taken with a grain of salt. If you like GTA 3 and Vice City, you'll probably really like this game. I didn't like either of them, and i think this game is basically like those first 2, so i didn't like this one much. True, i haven't given it a whole lot of time, only a few hours, and everyone says it gets better as it goes. basically, gta games aren't my type of game. there are 1 or 2 clones i enjoyed, like destroy all humans.
