Has anybody registered under x-box live using a debit card. Xbox-live say you have to use a credit card.
Not being a believer in using in credit cards I seem to be penalized by microsoft for not having one, what wrong with using a valid debit card?

Uhh... a debit card IS credit card that is tied to your bank account instead of an account at another credit agency. The difference is if you "debit" a transaction at wal-mart or wherever, you can charge extra and get change back, but you pay a fee to access your money if the store doesn't support your card type (ie Cirrus). If you credit a transaction to your debit card, only the amount of the transaction can be charged, but you don't have to pay the fee to access your money. The store has to be able to accept your card company (ie Visa). So, unless M$ doesn't accept charges from your credit card company, there's no reason why you can't use it.
I don't know how it works in other countrys but in the UK we can use a debt card just as long as it has the Visa logo on it cause that's what I use.

Yes it is like that in the States to like Gee said your bank debit card just needs the visa or mastercard logo and your good to go. It draws the money from your checking account or savings account depending which account your debit card is linked too.
