I'm a big PC person, and I'm a PC tech. So, I am somewhat anti-MS. I know what went on in the development of the original X-Box, and I refused to get on. But, I also know what's going on in the development of the 360, Gates is NOT having input, and after G4 2005, I now have a 360 and one game on pre-order.

Mainly, all I ask is not to be bashed because of my decisions on the first X-Box. (I have been on a lot of forms and most start to bash me. without reading everything I post. as U can see, I have a 360 on pre-order.) If people want to know more about my reasoning, I don't mind posting the info.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion if they back it up well, so I won't be bashing you.

And welcome.

Thanks.
My reason is because Microsoft has a big history of releasing things too early. They find bugs that should have been found. Then they release a tone of fixes within the first year or so of a software release. I looked at the X-Box release as this, if a piece of software will be this buggy at release, what will happen when they release hardware?
Also, Mr. Gates had a lot of input on the design factor for the original X-Box; both in hardware and software development. Personally knowing how Gates got to where he is, I don't trust him with those things. He is great in marketing, but not creating. (IMO)
Now, right before the development of the 360 became announced, MS split up the company at the video game side. It became a "child" of MS able to do things on its own. Gates had almost NO input on the 360, he became the person to finally say OK, ship it. Because of this, IMO, most things are going to be looked into farther, which means fewer bugs, if any, at the time of release.

This is an Xbox360 forum, not about Xbox :)

Sounds just like Ubi-Softs on-line stratergy, rerlease games full of bugs then send out downloadable patches to fix them.

Anyway welcome aboard 1031982 :wavey:
