Sega's 2nd comming

Here's the thing... I have always been a Sega fan over everything else. They have always had superior hardware over the competition, but for some reason, it was never utilized properly. I don't know if Sega had some developer issues or what. If Sega ever made a console again, I would be wary.

I would too. They would learn from their mistakes with 3rd parties and utilize hardware. If Sega came back I think they could be succesful again.

I say leave sleeping dogs lie. I don't think Sega should come back into the Console market again. All i really need from Sega is quality games on the Xbox 360 not exclusives on another console they have made.:)

If Sega came back they could dominate. They have watched the competition for what 1 mabye 2 gens? They could learn from /the others (Sony, MS, Nintendo) and their(Sega) hardware mistakes and make a flawless system (if they do it right).

actually ur right the games there making for next gen ( full auto and chromhounds i think) are looking good and i think they could make a good system they just need lots of ideas though they cant leave off sonic for long

Greg do you want to choose from 2 consoles or do you want to have a wide selection of consoles to choose from? in my opinion im WITH sega, and i will really like to see sega to come up with something decent

Well in this hand i hink those games will really spice the xbox 360 games line up, Full Auto looks really good and the graphics are amazing, condemed is a really good game for gamers with a taste for "dark games".

Atari and Sega Comeback console, think about that for a second, you say screw you microsoft sony and nintendo, they would haev almost as many origanal back to roots games as nintendo, exclusives as 360 and technology as sony, it would combine all the elements us gamers love.. i wish ..

3 consoles are enough. If one were to fall out, then I would support Sega coming back. Or, if Sega joined Nintendo (blasphemy?) and made a console that was up to snuff on hardware, software and innovation because the two joined. They would have an edge! I could supprt that.

Otherwise, I do not see a need at this point.

As far as a Sega, console, well, there was a time way back when, when I was completely enthralled with my cousin's Genisis. But now, even though they still make great games, they're just a developer to me, and a console would be rather pointless IMO. It would be, to me, like Capcom making a system.

It wouldn't be pointless in any way. It would be nice to have more diversity. Do you want to chose MS, Sony and Nintendo for the rest of your life?? I would welcome any new system that can have good games.

Let's see, I don't think Sega will EVER step back into it. Then again, if the market conintues to grow at it's current pace, there could be room for a fourth competitor.

People say that Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft could drop out of the console wars. Sure, why not, Sega couldn't make it. Well, this is true for todays and yesterdays markets. With the projected growth of truly insane numbers, no one will be able to lose. That is, if the projected growth in the gaming market does come to pass, and all companys try to some degree.

Do I want Sega to come back? Not in the least. I'm only interested in a few of their titles, not enough to buy a system. They could partner with some one, but I'll have all the systems, so it doesn't matter to me.

In its day Sega was an excellent system but they fell out of the console manufacturing for a reason. They would never be able to have the resources financially to create a new system. The only way possible is if they did merge with one of the present companies, most likely nintendo or if they were bought out by another company which quite possibly could be MS but they would always stick to just developing games. I wouldnt really want them to try to create a new console and see it fail completely then there would be no sega at all.
