i have lovegate worm w00t

ok well i knew something was wrong with my comp and found a process running called office.exe so i google searched that and i found out i have lovegate worm which you get by replying to emails. so i downloaded a program specifically made to get rid of it and well coincidently it "encountered a problem" and had to close :D, so i'm using a trial virus scanner that is supposed to be able to find it. if anybody else has had this worm and got rid of it plz let me know.

Gotta love viruses.. w00t!! Anyway, if you can't use a console scanner ie. mcafee, avg, norton, etc, then go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com and run their free online scanner. It works very well.

well i don't think that virus scanner that was supposed to take is off did so i'll use the one u suggested cablekiller and if it doesn't work then i'll do another google search. i hope i get this thing off soon :(

I would suggest running the program you got that is said to get rid of it in safe-mode. Also, make sure U don't have the process running when you run the eliminator program.

1031982 i'm really not sure what process the worm is all i knew was that office.exe was one that had been from it but i deleted that. as far as the worm itself i'm not sure which it is.

EDIT: i actually think i might have got it off now because i don't seem to have any of the symtoms anymore.
