I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but this is a newbie board so I don't think it should matter. Is it true that you can get a 360 with a special adaptation or something that allows you to play regular xbox games on it?

To play original Xbox games on the 360,you will need to purchase a 360 hard drive, but not all xbox games will be backward compatibly.

well what I was hoping for is for them to make games like Halo 1 backward compatible, so I can play the originals before I play the sequels. You see I used to be a nintendo guy and had a gamecube instead of an xbox.......and since nintendo seems to be going down in flames I want a 360. So like I said I'm hoping to be able to play the original games so it would make sense for me to buy their sequels.

well anyways does anyone know if this feature will be in stock when the regular 360 comes out? Would you have to buy it seperately and set it up yourself or will it come with the 360 for a higher price?

No if you buy the 399.99 bundle it will come with the hdd, it will come with it already, if you want to buy it separately it will be 100 dlls

MS is giving you a headset (20 dlls) a media player remote (limited) an ethernet cable, a faceplate (fuego), and component hd av cable s video av cable vga hd av cable, plus the 20 gb hdd for the price of the hdd by itself. So if you want to take advantage of this deal, (well the only one taking advantage is MS) like i was saying its hard to get a preorder now but it will be on the release date at walmart, bestbuy, frys

Where'd you get the idea of a Fuego faceplate coming along the premium package? If so, show me the link.

No, it's a plain white one, fuego can be purchased seperately. I don't know where you got the idea of a fuego faceplate coming along.

I saw an interview with J. Allard and he said "Xbox 360 will be backward compatible with the top selling Xbox games." You guys probably know more than me but do you think we will be able to play halo 2.

TurkeyRap

yes i could have told you that, but you need a hard drive to do it.

Rabid of course it will, Halo 2 was the most selling games in the history of xbox, plus while waiting for Halo 3, almost everyone will be playing halo 2

I wonder how big the emulation packages will be for the games. If they are too big, it might push a hard drive upgrade pretty quick.
