Does anyone know the recharge time for this?I think its a great feature that you dont have to pay extra for. I just hope that there is enough charge.

Not too sure on the recharge time, but I know that you simply plug it into the Xbox360 and use it like a normal controller to recharge it - not too much of a hassle

I read somewhere it was like 3 hours to get it recharged but there will be a docking station avalible after the release, its a good idea but if you play for hours your stuffed.

u can charge while playing as far as ive herd and the battery life is around 40 hours, should be enough 4 even the most dedicated players :)

As far as recharge time goes i would guess it will be around 3-4 hours

I wonder whether it will use AA's or an internal battery. Internal makes the most sense since recharging would be easiest.

Either way, as long as the controllers are wireless and smaller than the normal XBox ones, I'm happy. I actually have to wrestle with my friend for the third party controller, since it's so much more comfortable..

I like the fact that they are sticking with the S-pad shape more than the original, and i hope they use force feedback.

i heard it has a 24 hour charge life, and when it gets low you plug an av chord into it and the console and you can still use it while it's recharging!

It charges via a lead that goes from the controllers to the console.

the best thing is, you can recharge it and still play! it plugs via an a/v chord to the xbox360.

at least that's the last thing i read.

Yeah, sorry, I do not think the Wavebird lasts 100 hours. Besides, the Xbox 360 will be rechargable. Now that is über-cool. Play 40 hours straight, push 'pause' hook up the charger and keep on playing. And I bet you could correspond the pause/recharge time with a bathroom break and snack run. Nice.

Do we have any info on the PS3 Bluetooth controllers and their capability, aside from the adult porn industry?

As far as I know the ps3 controller is ugly…very ugly. The thing looks like u can through it and it’ll come back. I think they forgot about the controller design in till the last week and had a first quarter art student make it, who was try to be innovative, and new nothing about gaming

And its blue tooth big deal the xbox360 probably works better any ways

I think the Bluetooth is just some other way to add on the known outrages price.

You use the cord to recharge and then unplug it when its done. My best bet is that you'll have to use a the controller wired up to the X360 for about 3 hours when it first comes out of the box. Thats no problem for me anyways even though I prefer to sit far away from the TV.

Do you guys not know about the play and charge kit?

You hook it to the top of your controller and it charges while you play.

You can aslo just use AA batteries for 30 hours of battery life

Or,

You can charge the battery pack on the back.

EDIT: Oops, didn't see the info sheet posted, I'm still a n00b :)

G4everX
05-09-2005, 09:08 PM
If your batteries start to die, there will be a warning on the tv, and the controller. Apparently, you will receive ample time to get it pluged in, or the batteries replaced.

DeadOneWalking
05-09-2005, 09:50 PM
Also, the play time is dependent on rumble settings. If U like it on, and as high as possible (like me) you will drain the batteries quicker.

07-09-2005, 02:54 PM
The rechargable battery and cord used to charge it don't come with the controller. You have to buy them seperate. So when you take it out of the box you either have to have some batteries or the play & charge kit.

Wow....everyone spending money on play and charge BS...the P&C has a cord right? Doesnt that defeat the purpose of a WIRELESS controller!? Hello people....go to wal-Mart and go buy a pack of rechargable batteries that comes with a charger. You get 4 batteries....charge all 4 for 8 hours....then put 2 in your controller....when they run out just switch out the batteries (2 recharging and fully charged ones in your controller) there is NO WAY u will ever run out of battery life since it only takes 8 hrs to charge the batteries and the batteries are good for 1000+ rechargings!...your controller will not run out in less than 8 hr straight anyways! and it cost the same if not just a few bucks more!

Jay2984
12-01-2006, 01:58 AM
You just have to keep the Play and charge wire hooked into your controller for about 30-45 minutes then its ready to go for like a week or more. I usually do it when Im downloading a demo or taking a brreak or something.

DeadOneWalking
12-01-2006, 11:37 AM
I just charge as needed, but I wait until the controller shuts off because of the battery level. Usually when that happens I have played for some time and want to take a break anyway, so it's perfect for me! I have had to charge now 3 times, not counting the initial charge.

ChiTownPlayer
12-01-2006, 11:31 PM
Ok for $20 you get a rechargeable battery pack and the USB cable to connect to the XBOX 360 and then to the wireless controller. The fsecond day i got my 360 my AA batteries were dead (MASSIVE PLAYING :burnout: ). I then went out to look for the rechargeable pack and found it at Target and purchased it. I have been using it since you have to have it plugged in to charge but as others have said the cord is very long. Once the red light turns green you can unplug and you are back to wireless.

I think it is a good idea but would be nice if they created a plug pack so you can have one charging in the socket in the wall as the other is being used for playing.

No how long the battery will last with constant recharging not sure....but will find out I am sure.

That is alot of "AA"s you will be using if you play alot on the system. Also you can turn off the vibration feature which will increase your battery life. <just a suggestion>

ok here's what i did

plug the cord into the back of the 360
run it behind the tv
have a back up controller and make sure both are ready when you have friends over to play

i mean we all have a 2nd player occasionally right? so having one controller charging while using the other isn't bad is it? it's not like you're buying a controller that you dont need anyways
