Does anyone think they will be maybe a little depressed after the 360 is released? I mean, you have all the build-up and excitement, and then release day is finally here and gone almost like Christmas. Or maybe like a post partum depression. Or am I just nuts?

I'm not saying you'll get enough of it. I'm just saing that all the build up and excitement will be over before you know it. I mean, it's almost comparable to Christmas. They start building it up in late September, then it's here, and then it's over.

Christmas is just for one day, xbox360 will always be there until the xboxAR(Alternate Reality) or something in that line comes along, until then I cant get enuff

This is true, but I was referring more to the newness of the console. I have a problem with having to buy games even though I've got like 5 others that I haven't finished yet. (i usually have at least 3 games going at once). Once the newness wears off, I'm going to feel like I have to get something else.

I feel u on that, thats why I make sure i dont buy more than two new game at a certain time, so I dont end up with unfinished games.

Yea, I feel him though. I have joined all kinds of forums and stuff reading on tha 360. Once its here it will be like Wow, but Tha feeling of not knowing will be gone. Then, I will be waiting on Oblivion, so its all gravy...

well in a way your right, just in that you know you always always build things up in your mind to be insainely better than they could ever be. Just meaning it'll never equal exactly what each of us individually thought it would turn out. Not to say it wont be stellar, it'll just lack a few things. I dont think it'll be enough to really be a "depression" but I'm sure a lot of us may be slightly let down just in minor ways about small things missing out of games so on and so fourth. But nothing large scale like what you mentioned, thats more for women who have babies haha ^_-

The women having babies was the punch line. ;)

Its just like Halo 2 when it came out after all the anticipation and I started playing the game It was almost like play next-gen I loved it and I felt bad for everyone who didn't like it. Halo 2 can't have that bad of a mulitplayer since its been xbox live #1 game since it came out.

I agree, just as with the other console release's, the wow factor wears off in a week or two , but I dont see postpardon depression on the horizan.

I think Cablekiller needs to see his Doc about some Prozac before Nov 22.

I can see where you're coming from, and yes I do agree with you. It's not like I'll cry myself to sleep the day after I get the console, but it's one less thing to look forward to.

Kind of funny you mention that... I was having anxiety attacks about a month before and after my wedding. My Doc gave me some Zoloft... good stuff! I think I might need to take some here before too long! ;)

New games will come out every now and then so it won't be over like Christmas. It is basically a NEW GENERATION.

Yes, I plan on crying my eyes out while I play the console I've been eagerly awaiting for 7 months.

I'd definitely say that you're nuts..
But, for what its worth, I'm having sort of a Pre-Xbox 360 Depression right now...with a month left, I don't know how I'm gonna get all the money together for this thing... I'll find a way, but right now the uncertainty is killing me.

But Post-360?? Hell no. Here's my plan.. Get PDZ and CoD at launch, which will keep me busy for a while--especially considering that I get some good replay value with PDZ on Xbox Live. December rolls by, pickup Condemned!! Mid-December gives the MS Company store enough time to stock PGR and Kameo, at which time I'll get those. From there on, pick up one game per month (Oblivion, etc.) and that should keep me well taken care of until spring--Emergence Day 2006!! GOW!!! Already pre-ordered mine in July!

Oh and let's not forget about Splinter Cell 4 and Chromehounds, all due in spring as well.

Dude, don't worry. There'll be no shortage of 360 joy for a VERY long time.

no, i just think that this site will have a huge depression when the 360 comes out because everyone will have their eyes glued to their TV's and the won't have enough time to visit this site.

It happens. I was hyped about the DS and I sold it in Febuary when they delayed Metroid Hunters. I doubt the 360 will be like that. It will be a step to another generation. It will actually have fun games and play back your great Xbox games too. I think your on some pills cablekiller. Snap out of it!
