LOL, i will also hook up my x360 in my secret basement; i dont really know how long its goingto be, but i think about 10-15 fts, if you are going to hook it up in a basement i guess you'll need like 30 fts, so i guess you will have to buy another one

Well yes a wireless router and the wireless adapter is a good choice, but he is going to be in his basement; so i will say a longer cable

but if it's in a basment that means more ground to lay the cord witch can get stepped on and broken over time unless you staple it to a wall witch will take even more cable.

My bedroom is the basement, and it takes about 60 feets of cable because it is stapled in the wall, if i try a wireless adaptor i will get really poor signal

I have every room in my house wired up with CAT6 cable. I'm so excited about the 360, I already pulled and punched down another cable behind my big screen in preparation for it.

Get a Wireless router and a USB adapter. That all the MS one is. Dlink is a good choice. Make sure the router and adapter operate on 2.4 Ghz bandwidth and transfer info at up to 108 Mbps. This will ensure plenty of uninterupted streaming, no matter what room your in.

I hope it's 10-15 feet, that's all I need.
I have a wireless router about 10 feet from my Entertainment center, and, luckily enough, it has two ethernet ports in the back. So I don;t have to buy the $99 wireless adapter (what a joke!).
