After playing the 360 twice in my walmart, I remembered them saying that they were unplugging the 360 kiosk's because of issues with the 360 and whatever, well why havent they?

Microsoft fixed the problem, it was not a huge deal. Plus you may be in a newer Wal-Mart that was not affected.

It was a myth. Think about it... They would have 2 replace the batteries. plus, there were instructions on how 2 set up the kiosk. It included where to hook the controller chord.

MS fixed the problem shortly after they were alerted. All Xbox 360's should be running at all Wal-Marts by now.

my wal-mart still doesnt have one and im not in the boonies either. right here in the st louis area. a pretty big city, and we still dont have a kiosk! pisses me off...

it wasnt a rumor, even ms comented on it . they just fixed it fast. it was because walmart uses a wireless system to keep track of inventory that is does not pass fcc standards. and the reason you guys are seeing 360's off is because they are kept in that plastic casing without ventilation, so they are overheating. this system has 3 dual threading cores, and it is in the plastic without ventilation, so it is just taking back in the same hot air that it shoots out.

howcould ms have overlooked a little fact like that? uh its gonna kick out a huge ammount of heat! the version tht we got for our kiosk does not encase the 360, just covers the fce and locks the hard drive, lets the console breathe

The problem is not the console, its the fact that is being held in a close space with no place for hot air to go out. Its just like a pc, you have to keep it between 80-110 F. But other than that the X360 is well ventilated so there will be no heating

how can u call something that so many people have seen in person a rumor, especially when its something that youve had no experience with at all. your walmart didnt even get a 360, so u cant even say that u think that cuz your work fine.
