I dont have an xbox, but peer pressure from Grump Old Fart is making me seriously consider getting the 360.

I do love Nintendo (don't hold this against me!) and am generally interested in the gaming world.

Im 27, just got engaged, and really should be working, but seem to spend a lot of time on forums... I also LOVE the arcade section of this site!

Well congrats on the engagement, I sincerely hope it works out.

I'm also at work, matter-of-factly, the only time I'm here is when I am at work. As for the next gaming console, you need to look at what games you are interested in. If you're a huge Mario/Zelda/Metriod fan, the Xbox 360 may not be for you. If you like Xbox titles, then it's time to put Xbox 360 on your wedding registry.

Congrats on your recent engagement, marriage is the great atleast that's what my wife tells me. Nintendo is great I remember trading my Atari 2600 and about thirty games for a NES in 1985 and the rest is history. I am sure that you will be happy if you take the plunge into a 360.

Hopefully some of the game/console info and various screen shots and movies found on the forum will presuade you to buy a 360. Then we can finally play on-line before the Revolution comes out :).
