do you think on FFXI you'll only have to pay your live fee to play this online, or do you think you'll have to pay an additional FFXI monthly or yearly fee - like PSO?
cheers

Yes their is a fee.
On the PC in Europe it has a fee off arround £7 per month
On Ps2 and PC in USA it has a fee off $12 i think.
It will run on Square enix server and you will be playing against the PC and Ps2 uses too

yeah i knew it had fees on those, but i thought since we pay for live there might not be
well thats a shame, i wanted that game, but im not willing to pay monthly on top of my live, especially when it actually costs more! - i mean you'll HAVE to play it lots every month unless you wanna feel like you wasted your money

I don't think you will be able to tell which machine they are playing on unless they tell you.
Personaly I don't care if they are on PC,Ps2 or 360.
I would have picked this game up on Ps2 IF it had come to europe along with the HDD as I don't like PC gaming and my PC won't play the game anyway.
So the 360 is my only choice realy.

Yeah you're probably right. But if they haven't improved the graphics any I can safely say the 360 players will have the best frames per second

Well, Phantasy Star Online had a charge on Xbox live. It was $10 a month, on top of your Xbox live fee. So, I don't see why this would be much different.
Hopefully, it will be free.

You just pay the fee to play on Square-Enix servers.
Don't need to have XBL gold just silver (which is free)

Ther servers are that big and so many people playing the game they need to pay for running/maintaining these servers some how.
Thats where the fee comes in.
Also how many games do you know that are cross platform games online?
It will run PC,PS2 and the 360 all on the same server.
The UK PC fee is £7.50 the last time I looked. Not sure ont he US$ though.

I'm sure it's not that much. But yeah, the 360 laucn guide does confirm you only need silver to play MMORPG's. I think that's awesome. A lot of people will be happy about that.

You will have the Fee like on PS2 @ PC. These servers will be the same ones the PS2 @ PC are on. So therfore you will be spending the xtra 13 a month there.

Yes, I believe there is. It should be along the lines of £7.50 per month.

Ah too bad, I wanted to try out the game. But now I'm not getting it since it has a fee, personally I think that the fee should be included in the Xbox Live Gold fee.
