Michigan/Midwest 2nd launch time frame?

Hey, I'm on second shipment in s.e. michigan and i was wondering if anyone in the area knows when it might be. I already have my gamefly games coming (pdz, cod2) and I'm super pumped up I can't frickin' wait. Hopefully they call me very very soon.

You have to wait for the launch in the UK and then Japan. Then it will come back to the U.S.. I am hearing alot of mid-December from alot of sources.

Can anyone confirm this?

Just got back from eb and the guy didnt know anything about when 2nd shipment was coming. Now he could have just said that cause at #28, i dont make the cut or he couldve just be genuine and not known, cause he wasnt the manager after all. I'm shooting for this weekend which sucks cause I've had all week off but i have to work the weekend:frown:

I live in Ohio and (while they don't always know what they are talking about) ppl at gamestop said that the second shipment is more likley be in on monday, not friday. May be true may not be, but there guese is probobly better then our's.

and my eb games has told me dec 12 for the second shipment. the manager at my store said that even though microsoft is shipping the units weekly, the warehouse isnt sending units to his store until dec 12 to fill 2nd shipment. i hope hes wrong, but i wont hold my breath. my friend who works at best buy said the same thing. he said his store is putting out their next shipment dec 16. he told me he would call me if anything changed.

Who knows when the next shipment is coming in. I have called stores 2-3 times a week and get several answers:

1) Not until next year
2) after Xmas
3) Microsoft is not telling us and we don't know
4) Xbox 360 what is that?
5) Keep checking back
6) They are first-come first-serve (FCFS)

I think we all know about FCFS but you have to get them in order for that to occur. Microsoft marketing strategy have 3 launches (U.S. Nov-22 ,then the UK Dec 2 and Japan Dec 10). Out and when is the second round. I have been seeing alot of articles on the Bestbuy issues and the faulty %.

guys major nelson already dispelled these rumours there are new xbox360's coming into the US EVERY week again repeat it with me EVERY week. Of course it wont be as many as launch day he mentions he doesn't know exact numbers but there are some coming in each week and as fast as they can. Dont go to places that took preorders as they'll still be filling those and wont be able to help you hit up target/walmart/best buy places like that are your best bet.

Again WEEKLY shipments. So quit with the "2nd shipment" nonsense there isn't one big 2nd shipment coming there are lots of shipments coming. If you want more info from the horses mouth go to www.majornelson.com also listen to his newest blogcast where he talks about the shipments.

they are shipping 360's each week, but you have to remember, ms isnt shipping them directly to each store. ms is shipping them to each stores distribution center. the distributuion center then decides how many units to send to each store and when those stores will get their units. its is going to vary from store to stoe and area to area. i can tell you though, that not many stores will be restocking each week.

well, you know i'm in the same boat that every body else is in, if you didn't prorder from one of the local venders! every is talking about next year sometime. AS BigCat knows, i'm new to the XBOX world, and was really looking forward to getting womped on in Halo 2! lmao
but, i was really waiting for Ghost Recon AW, now that looks like my kind of game!

OK so we are calling it the 2nd shipment, when in reality it is the 2nd shipment. No one is saying that the second shipment will be big. We are just saying where is the 2nd shipment or the next shipment after the launch.

If the are sending them out every week and they are making it ot the stores where are they? I have not seen one or even heard or anyone in the U.S. getting an Xbox 360 after the launch day.:reddy:

Another thing that makes me upset, if you read anything on the MS launch strategy, they say that they didnt want to launch like sony and launch a whole bunch at first and then nothing for three weeks. Father Bill said that himself. But to echo what Chitown said, if they have been shipping every week, then where are they??? I have neither heard of anybody getting a shipment, nor heard of anybody getting any at all whatsoever except for our UK friends of course. So essentially, they shipped around 400k (not one million, or two million, or even 500k, and then absolutely no consoles on the shelves for for three weeks. I talked to my eb insider and he told me probly next week. My guess is that ms isnt releasing enough for stores to even talk about or advertise cause im sure they are sick and tired of the questions just like we are all sick and tired of asking them. Sorry the post is so long I'm just extremely frustrated.

I know i dont live near any of you all but i Live in South Fl and i have called GameStop so many times in the last two weeks i cant even count how many any more and they tell me the same story im sorry but we havent heard anything yet about the next shipment . WTF why not . how can you preorder and promise so many people there item on launch night and not fulfull your part of the deal . Or at least tell you when you will be getting your system . I think there should be some type of compinsation for all this waiting . It is not fair that we all have to wait for something as long as we are with no ETA when our money is goin to come to good use. The stores should be giving out games or accessories or something to make people feel better about there mistake of over preordering so many people. Its not like microsoft cant afford it .They fuk up they should be held responsible .
Now i also have my girlfriend call a store full of geeky nerdy guys and they tell her a completly different story . they tell her that they were supposed to get a shipment in last week which never came in so there hoping for it to come this week but have no idea when or how many units . I originally went to costco to get mine, but after hours of waiting they raffled them off instead of first come first serve :banghead:

Anyways that story is posted in "Whats your xbox story", the costco thing is cool because they have a lifetime warrenty as long as you keep the original packaging and the original reciept. Their package costs $479.99 and contains:

- Premium Bundle
- Extra Wireless Controller
- Plug and charge kit
- Kameo (game)
- Rechargeable Battery (i think.. not 100% sure on this one)

But all in all not a bad deal if they didnt screw me over :shot:

The Costco I just called in Livonia Michigan said that the distribution center is only getting 24 for.....drum roll please........THE WHOLE F****** MIDWEST!!!!! Now I have mixed emotions about my new finding. Yes I'm a little pissed off that they are only getting 24 for the whole midwest. That might speak volumes as to how many other stores are getting. But on the other hand I told the guy thank you very much for the information because i genuinely appreciated the fact that he know what was going on, he wasnt trying to lie or jack me around. So there we have it, we may all be screwed because my eb guy told me that one of their gamestops in metro-detroit only got TWO SYSTEMS in for their 2nd shipment.....haha, two. that the eb/gamestop shipment is coming in on the 12/13, somewhere around there. Now who knows what region that is, but like i said, i think they are trying to launch on the world before the "weekly" replenishments start. Which is total crap. I just seen an interview on G4 with the vp, i forgot his name and he was like a spinning top trying to avoid issues and such. and of course he ran the typical corporate line we are hearing from everyone about the replenishment, and they are running 24 hours a day and yada yada yada b$. Man am i sooo frickin frustrated, I have four days off and nothing to do but my trusty old halo 2. Its 330 now and ive been up since 12 yesterday cause i had to work last night and i have to flip back to days for a week and a half for work.
