media center extender possibilities...

has anyone tried to use extender to run other apps on ur 360? i was at work today(ebgames) and somebody told me that i could use extender to run a program, but i somehow forgot which one he was speaking of....if someone has heard of such things please let me know! thx

Yes, you can run other applications, but unfortunately I don't have a link to the instructions (I think its a KB article at Microsoft) handy. Basically, you need to go to your XP MCE computer, change a few registry keys, which allows the "Other Applications" feature to include custom apps that you might want to run. Then, from the Xbox, you just navigate to the "Other Applications" in the extender and you'll be able to run the apps.
