Xbox/Xbox 360 VGA Issue

Hey, i am considering buyingThis Cable (http://www.play.com/play247.asp?pa=rcs&page=title&r=X360&title=741485) so that i can play my xbox 360 at Uni on my computer screen.

The thing is.... i'm too poor to be getting a 360 anytime soon. I was wondering if this adaptor (which is blatantly 360 compatible) will work with the original xbox?

The main question being, is the video output on the 360 the same connector as the one on the xbox?

Could somebody check this out for me? could you see if the video cable for the 360 can be used for the xbox?

are you actually sure you can't use the same cable? you havn't made yourself quite clear.

I would rather get one cable than two.

no you can not use the same cable, the connection for the xbox360 is not the same as the orig xbox

I've had a look but i can't find a vga cable for the normal xbox. All the vga boxes seem to be from really dodgy chinese manufacturers, with engrish descriptions.

Does anyone know of some good quality vga adaptor so i can play the original xbox on my flatscreen.

The one available at http://www.x2vga.com (http://www.x2vga.com/) may be from a Japanese manufacturer, but it's far from dodgy. I've had mine for over a year and it works great.

how good are the gfx of the xbox360 on a montior? r they better than on a normal lcd tv ?

o and is there really that much difference in gfx from a lcd tv to a HD lcd tv? cos i am very very disapointed with the gfx of project gotham racing 3, can't complain of condemned thou.. quality game.

I just bought a MS VGA cable-just one issue with it, looks great on my pc monitor, but sometimes when i go to turn it on, no picture or sound comes up and the image on my lcd (pc) tv is just black on the pc input. the green light on the box is on and the tv screen is on...just wondering, is it a mjor fault, or something that annoyingly occurs thru VGA input?

camwilson already said this but just to double confirm for you I also have the VGA cable and this has never happend to me either. I am using a 32" viewsonic LCD HD tv.
