:stupido2:

Man..... is anyone else having a hard time making the transition from Call of Duty 2 to Perfect Dark Zero?

I feel the action is / was so intense in COD2 that when I finally got around to putting in PDZ that it was SO BORING! (not saying it was /is a bad game)
It just feels as if the responsiveness isnt there. I feel like I am dragging my feet while I am walking. The gun bob is slow, the 1st level SPACESUIT Scientist guys move slow.....
I even read the Manual ...... trying to get behind the story line so that I could clear my mind of the COD2 battlefield!

If you haven't played both games back to back I suggest you don't.
Don't get me wrong because WW2 games are not my style.... I'm a America's Army - Counter Strike kinda guy, but I felt so much apart of the game while I'm playing it. (61" HDTV Hitachi- Luv It)

After the first level - I chose to save and exit........

Can anyone else tell me if the action picks up any? I started the Nightclub thing but I popped a cap in someone through a glass window and "Missioned failed - just supposed to observe him"
I am hoping it will get better..... I love Splinter Cell and and the THOUGHT out game play - so I am not hater of STRATEGY! but Action wise - PDZ didnt grab me or make me care about anything, from the start!

HELP - I wanna like it... everyone HAILS it!

Sgt,
I have played and beaten COD and have only played the first mission of PD0.
I must say that I agree with you about the change in pace between the two games. I have had fun playing PD0 on live but the single player has yet to draw me in.

COD was great offline but the online lack of features irritates me to no end.

You hit the nail on the head.......

Thanks for some feed back! I just wanted to make sure that I was not being unreasonable!

sgt, the campaign for pdz was pretty dissapointing, so dont go looking for a ton of action there, im only paying through it again to get better and to pick up some gamerscore points. the mp however is another matter,i love it, it has some pretty fun toys to go around fragging people with, and being able to include bots as well makes it enjoyable. so if you want to find another fps to play on live besides h2, this is a great game, other wise you may not get that much out of it

multiplayer was pretty much the only reason i played the original Perfect dark....i haven't played this yet, but it sounds like multiplayer is again the main attraction.

Well, you may want to play the co-operative mode online. This is what I did to draw my self into the story mode. It works, but the story it self is pretty boring.

I have the same problem, I bought PDZ 4 days after CoD2 and i took it back like a week later. I gave it a week to see if it got any better, but i dodnt even think the multiplayer was great. It was ok, but nothing special. If CoD didnt lag most of the time it would be better online and offline. When it doesnt lag its a great online game :top:

Wow, I could not have said it any better SgT. I always play COD2 and I just rented PDZ last night very unhappy. I thought it would have much better game play but in fact, it does not! Not only that, but the graphics are too cartoonish for me. I must admit some of the moon lighting affects from wet street and textures from cmu walls look great but the characters lack a huge graphical standpoint along with the physics. Good gameplay can make up for lack of graphics but graphics alone cannot make up for game play which PDZ suffered from both accounts in my book. I have yet to try MultiPlayer on PDZ but I want to get a little better at the game first. Maybe it will shed a little more light on PDZ.

OK I just got to the 4th level (the one with all beautiful landscape snow and ice) and I take back any negative thing I said about lack of graphics on PDZ. However, the characters themselves are still a bit too cartoonish for my liking and the game play still sucks (ie. slow sluggish movement, repetitive AI, no "jump" feature).

yeah sgt i agree cod2 as an offline is about the best iv played, i played like 3 missions on pdz and decided i just wasnt for me, but on live wow its fantastic i would try playing it online rather than looking to the main single. altho i must iv played a few missions on co-op and the level were one dude takes the main path and the other the roof tops was pretty cool

I made a different transition. I went from PDZ to COD2. The PDZ campaign is very bad even before playing COD2. On live the game rocks. COD2 steps up the pace, story, graphics, and gameplay. I have yet to play COD2 online. One thing that takes away from PDZ is Perfect Agent on the levels. The AI just goes from stupid on secret to god-like. On COD2 it increases, but not drastically. I will never play PDZ single player unless if it is on co-op.

I agree the difficiulty level in PDZ just kinda jumps all over the place and it can take multible clips to put an opponent down, i love cod because even on veteran a few shots to the upper torso and your in business. The lack of reality in PDZ is a bit of a turn off, not to mention the fact that the campaign is pathetic to begin with

I play CoD 2 and PDZ and I love them but PDZ doesn't really pick up. In fact in Level 9 the A.I. for your teammates is pitiful.
