3 months ago? you waited too long if you wanted to guarantee one. I preorded mine back in May and thats mostly who got them without any worries. Some people who preordered 3 months ago got theirs but if you wait that close to launch you run the risk of being stuck where you are now. sorry it happened but live and learn and next console launch dont wait so long

join the club, I preorder in begining aug. But there some people who got screwed more then us when the preorder in may,june and july. But to look on the bright side, we are less likey to have problems with are 360 when we receive them.

actually changes to design on a manufacturing line happen pretty slowly and can take months unless its something they can easily change (aka just a part not actually changing designs). Its not like they go "oh wait lets change this" lots of testing and tweaks are made before something is implemented. All the 360's made and being made right now are just the same as since they started producing. Its not like since launch last tuesday they changed anything major. Thats just now how assembly lines work. So you really ought to get that idea out of your head bro. Besides the rate right now for duds is like 3% that are having issues. So not to rain on your parade but all the 360's from now till the end of the year and even farther will pretty much be exactly like the ones people picked up on the 22nd.

I preorder online Sept 28, and i figured i wouldn't get it at launch so i waited outside a store from 0500-0800 when they opened and got a prem bundle. Then my online preorder showed up 2 days after launch.

i preordered end of september with a £20 deposit and was 4/5th on the list

and considering i went in yesterday at 4pm to collet my 360, i was so happy obviously everyone other console had sold before i came in, there was a line of 20 or so people asking about the 360, obviously getting the same answer 'completly sold out' and i just walked by with my 360 all smiles, and the evils i got :)

I pre-ordered in July. I am #14 on the pre-order list-first shipment at Gamestop (my apologies to those who have heard this before), but I am still not too concerned with not getting my 360, as all the games I want have been pushed back to March or later. Sure, dropping over $500 on hardware that doesn't exist in my world is a harsh reality, but one that I can endure seeing how my games of preference are pushed back. I hear Hexic is fun, though.

I think it's oddly hilarious that people who pre-ordered and payed cash up front by months or even a year in advance are still waiting and others that showed up to a store halfway through the day on the launch date got their 360 with no problems, Thats just odd. I guess it has to come back to rest on the doorstep of the sellers being greedy and wanting to claim a piece of the pie by accepting hundreds or thousands of pre-orders nd only actually having 100 or so allocated to them. Thats just a scam, they should have to pay you an interest rate on your cash if they have it for over a year like that and then leave you holding a slip of paper with an empty promise on it. Or at the very least toss in a free game when they finally ship several months after launch.
