All Final Fantasy to Make it to Xbox360?

FF fans rejoice - this is not the only instalment of the series that is likely to make it to the Xbox360 (or the Revolution for that matter).

Are all the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest fans out there ready to reserve that PlayStation 3? You may want to do a bit more scouting first. Recent comments from Square Enix president Yoichi Wada suggest that his company's two prized series could be taking a multiplatform route in the next generation.

Commenting to Japanese site Mainichi Interactive on August 3, Wada explained, "The market for next generation game machines will be split into 'high end' and 'low end' according to the type of user. Rather than one hardware dominating, the various machines will carve out their own share."
Final Fantasy is already known to be taking a multiplatform path, as the Crystal Chronicles and Final Fantasy XI offshoots will be appearing, respectively, on Nintendo's Revolution and Microsoft's Xbox 360. Square Enix has confirmed that the Final Fantasy series will come to PlayStation 3, although it hasn't gone into specifics.

I think is is fantasic news for FF fans who maybe can only afford one gaming system this time around. It'll also be a bit of a blow for Sony since they've pretty much had the FF series exclusively on thier console since the PS1. Yet another big franchise is no longer exclusive to Playstation. All we need now is MGS4 and the next Devil May Cry on the 360 and I'll be a happy chappie :)

I don't think Devil May Cry will appear on anyting but a Sony console, but given that MGS2 launched on Xbox, and I've heard that Subsidence is also to be released on it, then maybe MGS4 will appear on 360. I hope so, too.

You mean the ones on the NES/SNES? They aren't as good as the Playstation versions in my opinion - they are all just too similar.

kinda like pokemon, there still alot of fun and they are out for the playstation (one) Difficult to find in shop's though!

Yeah, I don't mind Square-Enix sticking with PS3 in the sense of how GTA is with PS2/3. Even if 360 has to wait some months for FF games, getting them at all (with goodies) would rule.
