hi, i'm gonna have trouble getting on xbox live with my pc, as my xbox360 & tv are in a different room, i dont want to keep carrying them up the stairs,i only have a portable tv upstairs that is in my sons room & my pc is in my room, so it means moving everything everytime i want to go on xbox live,i dont want to play on a portable tv either,
will the wireless adapter solve this problem?
does it just plug into the 360 & then your straight on live ?
what are the other benefits of the adapter?:
i'm new to all this as ive not got the old xbox, ive got a ps2,
any help or advice would be appreciated

would the cheapest option be to get a 20 meter ethernet cable off ebay & run it up the stairs?

That would be a lot cheaper. But you do not have to go to Ebay Radio shack would have it and can build it to length.

As for the wireless adapter.. You have to set up a wireless home network which will include wireless router or a computer with a WIFI card.

Yeah, but like mrpunchy states why buy it on ebay when you can by the cable and connections from any radio shack, home depot, or electronics store and make it yourself.

on average compared to my local harware store, the ones on ebay are up to £7 cheaper, i see no need to continue with this thread now, problem solved
