:hmmmm2: Does anyone know how to connect the xbox360 directly with a PC via Ethernet Cable?
I HAVE INSTALLED THE FILE FROM Xbox.com/pcsetup BUT MY XBOX 360 CAN'T FIND MY PC.THE PC ALSO SHOW THAT THERE IS NO CONNECTIVITY WITH THE XBOX.

I posted the following another forum, hope it helps:

To stream your music/pictures from your PC to your 360,you need to download a program on your PC called "Windows Media Connect",you can find it by clicking here (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/devices/wmconnect/default.aspx) and clicking on the download button on the right.
When you have downloaded and installed the program, click start button and then control button(and select classic view as well) and open windows media connect.
Highlight the 360 and click the allow button at the bottom.
Click on the sharing folder and choose what folders you wish to share with your 360.
Click settings and press the start button.
Turn on your 360 and goto media and select music or Pictures and select from your computer and your 360 should find it.

shutdown your firewalls as well

Not a smart move, just tell your firewall program to allow your 360 access.

Here's my question: I set it up, and it works, but it doesn't access every file in the folders....Some folders, even though they have 10 files in them, the 360 is only seeing 3 or so. And it's only on certain folders.....I don't get it....
anyone else encounter similar problems??
Any thoughts on how to fix this? Or perhaps a FAQ link from somewhere?

Are you using a crossover cable? If you are using a patch cable, or the one included with the 360 it's won't work at all.

I'm using standard ethernet cable....I can read MOST of the songs on my computer, but some files are invisible....I don't get it at all.
