I thought 360 had Gigabit

I thought XBOX 360 had Gigabit LAN, all the specs that were touted showed it as having one Gigabit Ethernet Port, so.....

why when it is connected to my Gigabit hub does it only log as a 10/100 connection???

I assume MS have changed the final specs?

I know that PS3 specs have included gigabit ethernet, but I've never read anywhere that the 360 would have it. Perhaps you're mistaken?

I heard that it was a possibility but then dropped for costs. But when you think about it would it really be needed?

The 360 doesn't need gigabit. Hell, 10Mbps is more than enough for play on Live.

only asked cos all my network is gigabit and it makes streaming on the media center better the faster it is etc, you can never have too much speed

100Mbps is almost 12MB/s transfer rate. What the heck are you streaming that needs that much bandwidth? DVD quality streaming video and audio only requires about 5-6Mbps....
