Backwards Compatibility?

I'm not sure but I'm guessing every Xbox game that comes out from know on will be compatible with the xbox 360?

I dont think so, there might be some small or unique games that dont make it to the B/C list.

Also, remember that Microsoft also have to update the files on your Xbox 360 console every time a Xbox game is made backwards compatible. So they wont be B/C from the start.

my friend brought over Madden NFL '05 and it didn't work so we ran over to his house and got Halo 2 which worked fine.

yea only a selected few xbox version 1 games well be able to be played on the new 360 . they are only going to use the most popular games to be put on the B/C list

The list of bc games is being updated on a continuous basis. if it's not on the list, that doesn't mean it won't be added later. I'm still waiting on Panzer Dragoon Orta. So far Halo 2, Ninja Gaiden black and Splinter Cell chaos theory look great!!

The plan is to have as many games running on the 360 as possible. "near 100%"
Some games are harder to make work than others.

Some games than when made compatible, also bring a lot of similrly coded games.

The things been out less than a month, it will come.

Pro Evo 5 has the code on the disk to make it backwards compatible from the off but I think this entirely volountary from the makers of the game to be honest. :)

I think I read somewhere that all games that released after june/july will have the BC code already written on the disk for play out of the box (eg: Ninja Gaiden Black). I can't say for certain if it was an assumption by the writer, i'll have to look for it.

I dont know about you but during gameplay insome of the games that are Backwards Compatible have problems like DOA3,Medal of Honor and Euro 2004.Have you noticed anything?

I have ninja gaiden and when i try to play that only a white screen and the xboc logo shows. On the microsoft list it says that it should work, but it doesnt ...any ideas why or do i have to download something? if so where from?

I put in Ninja Gaiden Black in and my 360 proceeded to download a patch and restart. Game seems to run ok.

If you mean a little garbled sound, then yeah there are problems, if you are asking is it unplayable, well it is not, I have done the entire campaign and play more Halo 2 on the 360 than the 360 games I own.

There is an issue for halo 2 and the 360. For some reason i kill more then twice the amount of people on the xbox then the 360 online. I think they have major lag issues. :goodnight
