Same as above.
I'm sure this same question was asked when the site first started up,but seeing as there are more members since then,it's a good question to ask again.
So to answer the question I was giving a link to the site from "Grumpy Old Fart" and was asked if I wanted to be a mod and the rest as they say is history.

I think I was doing a search and came across it, dont remember exactly. I was a member of another forum for about a week before I found this one, havent been back to the other site since.

So did I (360 specs), I actually came to this site before they had one it was just a blank page and kept coming to it since.

i foung it in august. i got it from a link on the side of the www.xbox360news.com i was one of the first to be on the site. Like all the mods. It was a lot slower back then.

Done a search for 360 on google, found site-joined the rest is history...
Wanted to find out more about the xbox 360 and also wanted a site to keep me updated on 360 info. So i search the internet and found it.

a friend introduced me to it. i read the old thread and man there are alot of mods that got banned. i remember some of them from wen i first joined. i wondered were they had gone....

I found it when I was looking at Xbox360Cheats.com - The Number One Source for Xbox 360 Cheats (http://xbox360cheats.com), the site Matt made up I guess. Its an affiliate, really different than you expect.

it was the only 360 site that wasnt proxied at my work..... sorry if it doesnt sound great but its the truth. obviously ive grown to like the site quite a b it though, and it gets me through work.

When the Xbox 360 was announced, ( I think back in May of 05) i also searched on google like everyone else and this was the first thing to come up in the search. It looked only like a MS Word page at the time, but Matt said he was going to make a forum and all soon. Kept on checking the site out, and immediatly signed up when i saw the forum.
Google when I wanted info on 360 availability. I stuck around 'cause everyone was (and is) cool.

A sony fanboy linked me to some bad news about the 360 on the frontpage of this site and i just joined. Then i hung around in the shoutbox at 1st until scot and co decided to rip me every second they had, now i just browse and join the sb occasionally.

Matt sent me here, as I stated in the original thread:
I was periodically checking totalnextgen.com for 360 updates. It's not a great site, kinda dreary actually, but Matt posted a "shameless plug" for this new website. I clicked his link and haven't been back to totalnextgen since July 14, 2005.
I've been here since bennyboo, papasmerf01 and some of the other remaining originals. Man, those were slow days -- 3 total posts per day sort of thing... when spam was tolerated a little more...

heh yea i remember thinking that i could look at every new post per day, but now its nearly impossible. :bawling: good times....lol

I was a MOD on planetGAC.com for the general chat and xbox forum. I was there for a few years and then the owner of the site decided he wanted to get into downloading illegal torrent files. So he set up a site within the forum for torrents. We had lost a members because he held contest for like most post in 24 hours, or quiz games...then never gave out the promised prizes (ban width, games, extra post count).... well the torrent site got found out by the authorities and planetGAC is no more.... I google for xbox forums, joined three (including this one) and now only remain at this one
